Trish is a 1993 graduate of Hastings CCC dental assisting program. She was born and raised in Grand Island Nebraska. She has 2 children Morgan and Brady. She enjoys going to concerts, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Sonja is our Financial Coordinator. She received her dental assisting degree from Western Iowa Tech in 2008. She was born and raised in Blencoe, Iowa and now lives on an acreage with her husband Ted, their two children and two dogs. Sonja loves spending time with family, fishing, farming, enjoying the outdoors.
is a dental hygienist originally from Clare, Iowa. She graduated from Hawkeye Technical College in Waterloo, Iowa. Carol has been with the office since 1992. she and her husband Bryan have three children. The family and their dogs, Rockie and Kaicie, keep busy on the 60 acre farm raising cows, chickens, turkeys and ducks. When not farming, Carol enjoys gardening, canning, camping, biking, swimming or anything outdoors. Carol has attended the Iowa State Fair every year since 1978.
Is a dental assistant. She was raised in Sergeant Bluff and graduated from SB-L in 2010. Shortly after high school she went to Iowa School of Beauty to obtain a degree in cosmetology. In 2012 she returned to college to become a dental assistant. When she isnt at work she is spending time with her son, Owen. They enjoy going to see new movies, camping, and traveling.
graduated From the University of South Dakota hygiene program in 2001. She grew up on an acreage outside of South Sioux City and currently lives in South Sioux City. Trixie and Lorn have three boys and dog. She and her family enjoy camping, boating, fishing and traveling. Trixie also enjoys going to her boys ' sporting events, reading and golfing. Trixie 's fun fact is that she met Rudy Ruettiger from the movie 'Rudy.'
Tara graduated from the University of South Dakota hygiene program in 2013. Tara was also a dental assistant for 5 years prior to that. Her passion for working with families and patients is why she enjoys her dental career so much! Tara is a Nebraska native who lover her Huskers! At home, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and supporting her two boys in all their activities.
Angie serves as our office coordinator. She is originally from Cushing, Iowa and began her dental career with the office in 1986. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tony and three children. A little known fact about Angie is that she shares her birthday with her son!
Lacey is a dental assistant born and raised in Sioux City. She graduated from North High in 2014, and graduated from Western Iowa Tech Dental Assisting program in 2020. During her time in school, she volunteered at the Iowa Mission of Mercy and would love to make it a yearly tradition. She and her boyfriend have a five year old daughter and they enjoy going on walks, bonfires, cooking out, and having family movie nights. She enjoys spending time with family, going to church, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite part about dental assisting is getting to know and build relationships with patients, while also helping them love their smile!
is 2010 graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Western Iowa Tech. She was born and raised in Sioux City. She and her husband have one daughter. They love spending time outdoors and look forward to their yearly trip to Lake of the Ozarks with their family.
is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Dakota hygiene program. She is originally from Ponca, Nebraska. She and her husband, Andy, have four boys and live on an acreage outside of Moville, Iowa. Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends and chasing her four boys. Sarah's fun fact is that her oldest son was born on the day of her clinical boards, so she had to take them three months later in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

They did X-rays, cleaning, fluoride and everything on my son to call me the following week and tell me that they don't take his insurance and I needed to pay the bill out of pocket. They also don't let you go back with your child. Would NEVER recommend to someone.

Dr Husen is so nice and knowledgeable. Recommended to us by our daughter. So glad to have confidence in a dentist. Trixie was a great hygentis. All staff there are so kind and good at their job.

Dr. Husen has been my dentist for most of my life. I have learned that she is very comforting, kind, and makes the experience as good as she can. Really can't find someone with all the professional and personal she has. Also has a great staff, that's very accommodating. I haven't been able to find a better dentist.

I drive all the way across town to come here. I love the hygienists and the Doctors, they do a great job. My teeth have never felt better. I won't leave out the ladies at the front counter, they are so friendly and welcoming.

I'm extremely terrified by the mere act of walking into a dental facility. I've had a lot of bad experiences in the past from when I was younger, undergoing dental procedures. This place definitely has a much more friendly and small community type atmosphere than places I had been to in the past, and at all levels, they had gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I had broken my two front teeth, and required the replacement of both. They offered a few different options, and outlined the pros and cons of each approach. There was the aspect of cost versus longevity to consider, as well as the pros and cons of the procedure itself for someone like myself, who is extremely adverse to dental work in general. They explained both scenarios very well, and took their time answering any questions I had regarding either option. I, at no point, felt pressured into going one way or the other, and the decision was left up to me. They informed me of the benefits and drawbacks on each procedure without prejudice, and allowed me to make the decision based off of what was right for me at the time. The procedure itself was near painless, which surprised me, as my previous experiences have all seemed to be negative voids of pain in my memory, and the end results worked very well. My fiancee was impressed with the job, as I was myself, and I think Dr. Wilmes did a fantastic job fixing my broken teeth. I can now pronounce Thesaurus again without a lisp. Regarding the price of the operation, I am not certain what it would be without a dental plan, but the final bill, to me, was completely reasonable considering the amount of time spent on the entire procedure. I've paid similar bills for urgent care visits where I spoke to a doctor for 5 minutes, versus a near 2-hour session with Dr. Wilmes, where he went out of the way to make me comfortable and answer any questions that I had with a true human feeling, also while fixing my teeth so I could finally say "Thesaurus" again. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who would ask me about similar problems, but that doesn't ever happen, so instead I will leave my pennies here. I think they are a good and caring outfit, and I appreciate what they do, even if I hate them during the whole stage of doing what they actually do. The afterwards feeling is the most important of all, anyway.
