Dr.EllieMahmoodibelieves that a beautiful, healthy smile can change a persons life. Each year she devotes a significant portion of her time to attending numerous Continuing Education and training courses, in order to provide you with advanced, state-of-the-art dentistry.
A dental practitioner since 1998, Dr. Ellie earned her dental degree from the University of Minnesota. She is one of a handful of practicing dentists in the Twin Cities who have completed levels I & II of the world-renowned post graduate program in esthetic dentistry at the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Saint Paul Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.
Dr. Ellie knows that going to the dentist can be very stressful and traumatic for some people. She believes that when your body is less stressed it will heal itself better. She has designed Serenity Dental to reduce as much stress as possible, by providing you with some spa like amenities.

Great service. Love the hand warmers and the fact that they put vaseline on my lips ahead of treatment. Nice attention to detail. Love the staff!

The staff at this clinic are very good at easing dental anxiety for adults and children. I avoided the dentist for years from bad experiences. They've never made me feel ashamed for being anxious during an appointment. Took my almost 3 year old today, and the staff was so patient with her and showed her everything they were doing. Never thought she would get through her first dentist appointment so easily!

I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. I had a very bad experience 5 years ago and haven't gone back to any dentist. I actually found serenity dental for my husband but recently had a tooth chip and decided it was time to get back into the dentist. I had Doctor Elbert and she was very kind and gentle. The best experience I've had at a dentist and I'm very happy to have found her. I highly recommend her to anyone who is avoiding the dentist because of anxiety.

They dentist lied to me about composite veneer prices.. regular and average places it should be 200-500 a tooth and they told me it would be 700 a tooth during my consultation and then called back to make appointment and put it to almost 900 a tooth so for 5 teeth it went from 3000 to almost 5000 for not even half my teeth... really wanted to be comfortable with my smile and its not fair for a dentist to tell you one thing and then keep rising the price.. If you want any cosmetic work done here I would say its a waist of time unless your rich! Good luck

Serenity Dental offers a warm and respectful experience. I feel very fortunate to have found a dentist that offers expertise coupled with an outstanding experience. The dentist and staff provide detailed photos and explanations of all your treatments! To feel pampered at a dentist is quite an experience!

Given my experience with the dentists, I am very surprised by all the 5-star ratings. I was a patient at this office for about 1.5 years (2017-2019). On my first visit after the hygienist completed the cleaning, the dentist walked in prepared to do the exam. The dentist never introduced herself or even said hello. Before she began the exam, I stopped her and introduced myself telling her that this my first visit to the office. Only after my introduction did she introduce herself. Subsequent visits were the same. The dentist never bothered to introduce herself or establish a rapport with me. She just started the exam. On my last visit (#4 or 5), before the exam began, I introduced myself and said "I'm sorry I don't know which one of the dentist you are.". She was visibly shaken. But, she did take the time to introduce herself. You may notice that I didn't mention the dentists my name. That's because, I honestly can't recall which dentist was conducting my exams as I never really got to know them. Despite the lack of friendliness by the dentists, the staff and hygienist were very nice and did their jobs very well. If you are looking to build some type of dentist/patient interaction, I would not recommend this office. There are quite a few options in the Woodbury area.

My experience has always been great at Serenity Dental and they have made patients feel safe throughout Covid! Being able to watch a movie/show while getting your teeth cleaned is also a nice distraction.

Serenity Dental has the most amazing receptionist, they all are super sweet, helpful, informative and professional, especially Isabella and Jimena. The hygienists are seriously really good, and welcoming. The dentist are informative, patience, and took care of some teeth problems my child had instantly, I didn't even had to make an extra appointment. Thank you Serenity Dental.
