Buyer beware, took me years to pay off the "new" Fillings I didn't need after being clear that insurance would cover it. Offered clear fillings bs the silver fillings that did not be to replaced. I called several times and sent letters to work with me on the $2000.00 charge but received no response. We immediately moved to pyramid in hamden which we highly Recommend.

Dr. Betty was the only one who was able to diagnose me correctly with TMJ/bruxism. I was miserable and in alot of pain until seeing her. I was able to come in right away and on the road to feeling better. Thank you again!!!

This place should be absolutely ASHAMED of themselves. They offer cheap introductory cleanings and then LIE and say you have several cavities. I have had cavities before but never more than 1 at a time. I went here for the first time for the cleaning and they literally lie to me and say I have 7 cavities, and they wanted $1600 to fill them all! I was dumbfounded. I decided to get a 2nd opinion so I went to a family owned dental office and he did a number of xrays. There was 1 small area that he said he offered to fill for me but said Serene Smiles was trying to scam me. This is exactly what is wrong with our health care system. Businesses in the Healthcare field are preying on unsuspecting, unknowing customers that may not have the money for unnecessary dental work. How this doctor sleeps at night is beyond me. She literally takes advantage of people. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Although the place looks great and everyone was super nice, she found six cavities in my mouth that she said needed to be filled. I was in disbelief because I've never had more than 1 cavity at a time and go to the dentist every year. I didn't have time or know if my insurance would cover a second opinion. I had a friend who is a hygienist check the x rays and she said there were maybe four small ones but couldn't see all the angles where the other two might be. Needless to say, I got them filled and I had a lot of problems. One filling was not filed down correctly and my bite was off and hurt when I chewed on that side. I went back three times to have it corrected and it's basically flat compared to the same tooth on the other side of my mouth. I also became extremely sensitive on the other side to sweets, cold, hot, etc. and she said that would go away. Needless to say, it has been three years and I pretty much don't chew on that side anymore. Then recently the new dentist I go to said that one of the fillings was falling apart (after only a few years) and I had to have it refilled. I will also say that the person who told me about this place doesn't go there anymore because she had a similar experience where they found several cavities out of the blue! She only went and told me about it because she works nearby and it looked like a respectable place- don't be fooled!
