Dr. Bates developed a keen interest in the dental field after his childhood dentist helped him deal with dental trauma after an accident in high school. Today, he continues to pay forward the care and compassion shown to him at that time by providing exceptional dentistry to patients of all ages.
My interest in dentistry started when I was in high school. I was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in me fracturing multiple front teeth. I was also in a lot of pain and embarrassed about my smile. I was very blessed to find a dentist who was willing to come in extra early and do all he could to get me out of pain and fix my smile. This experience influenced me to pursue a career in dentistry where I could help someone else in the same way that my dentist helped me.
Dr. Will Bates is a native of Hooper, UT and attended Weber State University, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Microbiology with a minor in chemistry. Following his passion for helping others, he went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Bates was accepted to attend further training with the U.S. Navy in an Advanced Education Program in Norfolk, Virginia. This year-long program allowed him to experience expert clinical training in all specialties of dentistry. Dr. Batess career has also included working as a department head over a dental clinic in the Navy and a director of dental services for a clinic in Washington state.
Dr. Bates continues to receive education and instruction on the latest techniques and materials by qualified professors in the fields they specialize in. It is important to him to ensure that his patients receive the very best procedures and materials available in dentistry today.

The hygienist rocks! She takes her time to clean my teeth and I don't feel rushed and moved along like an assembly line like my previous dentist. The staff and Dr. Bates are all very nice and patient!

Great staff, good availability, brand new office space (with lots of dental technology) and fast scheduling. I felt everyone was friendly and cared about my treatment plan. Much better experience than I had with other dentists in the past; would highly recommend!

I really liked my visit ant Serene Dentistry. The kids loved the prizes and liked being able to pick out their favorite tv show to watch while they got their teeth cleaned. Everyone there is really nice and it's super clean.

My previous dentist retired and I had to find a new dentist. I just had my first visit at Serene Dentistry for a cleaning and x-rays. I had a fantastic experience, as did my husband when he went for his first visit last week. They are very gentle and the whole experience is geared around making it as pleasant as possible. They have the absolute latest technology. They have a big screen tv on the wall where they show you your X-rays and any photos taken from a little camera they use to take close-ups of individual teeth where there is something concerning. They also have an in-house insurance plan, and the family plan for my husband and I is less expensive than insurance on the open market for ONE person, and even if all you do is your regular 6 month checkups, it will save you money. I particularly appreciated that they don't do a hard sell on a bunch of things you don't really need. We are definitely sticking with Serene Dental and the fact that it is 5 minutes from home is a bonus. When you go the first time, ask them about their new patient coupon too.

Everyone is so nice and attentive. My son came in for an emergency appointment and turned out he needed a root canal. Even after the visit I received phone calls from Dr Bates and his team to see how he was doing.

I had a great experience with Dr. Bates and Serene Dentistry. When I had to reschedule an appnt with my old dentist they were 5 months out for just a cleaning. I decided to try Serene dentistry and they were able to get me in the next week. From the moment I walked in the staff, assistant, hygienist, and Doctor were friendly and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable (I usually don't like going to the dentist)and left knowing I had found a new dentist.

I woke up with a swollen face and my dentist didn't seem to care to get me in. So I called the closest dentist to me, which was Serene Dentistry, and they got me right in, and the entire staff was so great, kind, and accommodating!! Especially because I get massive anxiety when going to the dentist, and this dentist made me feel so at ease and comfortable. Not to mention the actual extraction went way better then I expected!! I am so grateful to this place and for the attention and care they so easily showed me. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
