Dr. Tran and Dr. Javed have been together since dental school when they were classmates and in the same study group. The challenges of dental school strengthened their friendship, and that became the foundation for their love and marriage.
During their years in school, Dr. Tran and Dr. Javed shared their dreams, aspirations, goals, and values in life. Through these conversations, these values blended into establishing Serene Dental Spa.
After years of practicing as associates with reputable dental firms, they found a perfect location that resonated with their vision of creating a unique dental office that can provide enough comfort to their patients.
Dr. Zuleika Javed graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry in 2012, obtaining her DDS degree. After working briefly in Wilmington, she married her classmate and co-owner of Serene Dental Spa, Dr. Andrew Tran. Following a period as an associate dentist for multiple practices, Dr. Javed and her husband decided to join effort for what is now Serene Dental Spa.
Her commitment to the community extends out to volunteer activities such as Mission of Mercy clinics, contributing to the organization and planning of multiple charity events, as well as helping undergraduate students prepare in their pursuit of professional schools.
In her spare time, Dr. Javed enjoys spending time with her friends, family and 3 dogs (Mocha, Latte, Punk). She enjoys staying active with her husband, whether it is outdoors or at their local gym. Traveling is Dr. Javeds second passion and she will tell you many exciting stories about her trips.
Dr. Tran grew up in Charlotte, NC. After graduating Providence High School, he attended UNC Charlotte, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. In 2012, Dr. Andrew Tran obtained his DDS degree at the UNC School of Dentistry, where he also met Dr. Zuleika Javed, who he later married in 2013.
Our office will hopefully diminish your fears of the dentist, by not only offering a spa environment, and naturally caring faces, but also the convenience of massage therapy and nail services at our nail boutique he says enthusiastically.
When Dr. Tran is not volunteering at Mission of Mercy clinics or spending time mentoring kids at his youth group, he enjoys spending time with friends and family. Dr. Tran is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves everything about it: Food Network, restaurants, recipes, cooking, and of course eating.
Natalie has been in the dental field since 2014. She graduated with an Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate and has since migrated towards the front desk becoming a multi-talented employee. She is originally from Miami, Florida but moved to North Carolina with her husband in the fall of 2015. Natalie is a gleeful personality who loves to go above and beyond to ensure all our patients are extremely satisfied with each visit. On her free time she enjoys going on adventures with her husband and two paw children, Diesel and Kane, and volunteering at church.
