Dr. Pablo Foncea graduated with honors from Boston University in 1997. He began practicing dentistry in South Carolina with a well-respected cosmetic practice, but a desire to be closer to the mountains, prompted a move to Knoxville in 2001. He has practiced comprehensive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry in Tennessee ever since.
One of the things that make Dr. Fonceas dentistry unique is his artistic skill and ability. Outside of the office Dr. Foncea enjoys pencil and charcoal sketching, and photography. This artistic edge separates his dentistry from others. He sees his dental work as an extension of his love of art and delights in the artistic challenges he encounters while making custom dentures and smile designs.
With over 20 years of experience focused on cosmetic smile design and healthy tooth restoration he has had the privilege of creating new smiles for local celebrities and restoring healthy teeth to families of all ages. Featured as the dental expert on WBIR, Dr. Foncea was also the dentist for Knoxvilles Extreme Makeover -2004 on WBIRs Style show. In 2013, he was named as a Top Dentist in America
For Dr. Foncea, life is too short to allow it to happen to you. He seizes the opportunity to live life to the fullest and enjoys helping others reach their potential by helping them regain their confidence with a healthy smile.
He believes his dental skill allows him the opportunity to impact lives both in the office and as a donated service. He and his office team created a Smiles for Veterans program that has provided free and discounted care for Veterans over the past 3 years. He has also enjoyed providing dental care at the Prince of Peace Girls home in Guatemala, and with Baptist Medical and Dental International in Honduras and Nicaragua.
Dr. Foncea continues to stay abreast of the latest dental techniques and obtains over three times the hours required to maintain a license in Tennessee. He is member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association and the local Second District Dental Society.
Been a patient of Dr. Fonceas for years. Wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Their services are first class in every way. One visit there and you dont feel like a patient but more like a VIP. I cant say enough good things about them.
Dr. Mariko McCall joined Sequoyah Dental Arts in 2017. After evaluating a number of candidates, Dr. Foncea felt confident that she not only understands the personal approach to life changing dentistry, but that she was capable of providing the artistic and comprehensive dentistry that sets our practice apart.
Dr. McCall, a University of Tennessee graduate, excelled in dental school. She graduated with honors and received the Excellent in Prosthodontics award, the Outstanding Performance in the Art of Dentistry award and multiple academic and leadership scholarships. While these impressive accolades fit our standards of excellence, it was her interest in community service through Remote Area Medical, Mission of Mercy and Hope Smiles that sealed the deal.
I wish I could leave 10 stars for SDA!!! I went in for a routine teeth cleaning and to have 2 cavities filled. Lisa who did my cleaning was so sweet and patient with me; I tend to get very anxious at the dentist. Dr. McCall and her assistant Kelley were also amazing when it came time to fill my cavities. I was very nervous but they put my nerves to ease and walked me through every step and checked to make sure I was doing ok the whole time. I dont have enough good things to say about SDA and their all star staff! I highly recommend them for all of your dental needs!!
An East Tennessee native and graduate of Bearden High School (where she was a two time state soccer champ), she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She has been practicing dentistry for several years and is most excited to be in a private practice that focuses on people and building long lasting relationships.
When she is out of the office, Dr. Beil enjoys spending time with her bernedoodle dog, Whaler, traveling to new places, relaxing on the lake and snowboarding. You might find her enjoying her favorite brunch at Cazzys restaurant or grabbing a burger at Abridged!
The staff here is amazing. They are all warm and welcoming. The dentists are exceptionally gifted with their dental talents and explain the process the entire way. Its like a family away from home. They also offer free dental care for veterans at certain times a year.

As somebody who has had traumatic experiences with dentists in the past, I had to have a tooth extracted and I highly recommend Sequoya, the entire staff is welcoming and friendly. Dr. Beil was both very professional and extremely friendly, she explained everything to me before we got started and went out of her way to make sure I was as okay and comfortable as possible. Didn't think I'd ever be giving a dentist a 5 star review but she absolutely deserves it.

Anytime I'm ever in Knoxville or within 40 minutes away, I wouldn't wanna go anywhere else for dental work. Greatest dentist ever. Sweetest people ever. 100% would recommend

This was my first dental experience after moving from Florida to Tennessee and I was blown away. The staff is so sweet and kind. Even when they give you unfavorable news they do it in a very professional way and didn't try to up charge you on anything. Will definitely be my new dentist in Knoxville!

I recently located here from Florida and am happy to have found Sequoyah Dental Arts. The staff are so friendly and alleviated any anxiety I might have had going to the dentist . The flexibility of two offices is also a plus.

I am terrified of the dentist and recently located here. My dentist in Florida babied me for close to 20 years . I recently went to Sequoyah Dental Arts and they are amazing . Every person I came in contact with sweet and professional. Glad we found our new "dental family "!

I went to Sequoyah Dental Arts for Botox for TMJ. The staff are all so welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. Courtney the dental assistant was so kind and very informational about the process. She made the whole appointment feel stress-free. Dr McCall was very sweet and thorough, and listened to my concerns regarding my jaw pain. She came up with a thoughtful plan to alleviate my symptoms. They truly make you feel like you are their only patient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

After being a patient of the same dentist for 46 years I must admit that I definitely was experiencing some anxiety about seeing a new dentist after all of these years. I am someone who doesn't handle change very well. My first appointment was this week. I am so happy to say that my jitters immediately disappeared from the moment that I stepped inside. Each & everyone one of the staff was so kind & caring. Patty my hygienist is excellent. She is gentle, very thorough and professional. She is awesome! I saw Dr McCall today. She too is excellent. She first sat down & talked with me before my examination and was so easy for me to talk with. She treated me and made me feel as if I were her only patient. She had one the best bedside manners I have ever experienced. She even personally called me the next day to answer some questions that I failed to ask. Upon leaving I felt very special as if I had visited with my family. You will feel that way too!

Somehow, this amazingly compassionate family of pros makes me not only feel completely comfortable and at ease - they make me feel like I'm their only patient! Everytime I visit SDA, it's like seeing a group of friends. Everyone in the office is wonderful, very professional and thorough. I have had both cosmetic and general dentistry procedures with SDA - I am beyond happy with my smile!! Dr. Beil and Dr. Foncea do a great job. I would not go anywhere else.. highly recommend!
