Dr. Kuper-Smith was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida, the oldest of three brothers. He studied Biomechanics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where he played midfield on the lacrosse team.His dental education took him to Tufts University in Boston where he graduated at the top his class. Following his doctorate, he went on to specialization training at New York Universitys General Practice Residency and his Orthodontic Residency at Jacksonville University, Shands Hospital serving as Chief Resident.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and both the state and regional dental boards. He is a founding member of the Arrowhead Dental Study Club where he lectures and presents on multispecialty and surgical orthodontic cases.
In his spare time Dr. Kuper-Smith can be found outdoors surfing, trail running and open water swimming . He also races in triathlons as a member of The Olympic Cub and is a 5x Ironman World Championship qualifier. He volunteers his time coaching youth lacrosse leagues in the Bay Area.

My kids love Dr. Kuper-Smith and his staff. Charly, Tim and Victoria make my kids feel comfortable and happy. When we visit for appointments my kids feel like they're family.

Great experience getting my Invisalign started and set up. Got my questions/concerns answered and overall very positive experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get their Invisalign treatment to come here as well :)

If your looking for an orthodontist to enhance your smile this is the place! The team was very professional, courteous made me feel I am in good hands. Dr. Kuper-Smith took the time to explain the treatment never felt rush he answered all my questions. I am relief to finally find an Orthodontist team that cares for the customer!

The staff were very friendly and attentive. I received a very thorough consultation. The doctor walked me through the current condition of my teeth and what I have to do before starting treatment.

Dr. Kuper-Smith, and the entire staff at Sequoia Orthodontics, are truly amazing. I have my entire family seeing them and it is always such a pleasant, friendly, and warm experience. Everyone is super nice and helpful! Could not recommend them more!! They are the best group of people!! And their work is amazing! I have straight teeth! I never thought that would be possible. I am eternally grateful!

5 stars all the way! A super convenient location with plenty of parking. The staff is always welcoming and Dr. Kuper-Smith seems like he could do his job with his eyes closed! We love this place! Grateful to have been recommended by the Kuka family!

We as a family just love Sequoia Orthodontics. The entire staff is amazing. With three children all patients, it sure is nice when they all enjoy when they have a checkup and get to visit everyone. We highly recommend them for your orthodontic needs.
