We are an orthodontic practice devoted to creating beautiful smiles. We use state-of-the-art technology and a wide variety of orthodontic treatment options to meet the needs and desires of each individual patient. Dr. Sencak graduated from North Hills High School. He then pursued his education at the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. During that time, he was also elected into the nations oldest and most prestigious academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa.
After completing three years of undergraduate education, he was awarded early admission into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he completed his Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine. He was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Sencak earned both a certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
During his residency, Dr. Sencak was able to learn directly from two world-renowned orthodontists, Drs. Lysle Johnston and James McNamara, as well as the President of the American Association of Orthodontics.
The northern suburbs of Pittsburgh have been Dr. Sencaks home for most of his life. I am honored to be able to dedicate my time and knowledge back to my hometown. Along with supporting local recreation centers and charity fundraisers, Dr. Sencak has also been involved with the Special Olympics and has even organized free dental care events for the athletes. Aside from work, Dr. Sencak is an avid Pittsburgh sports team fan. He also likes spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and hiking.

The cost of your orthodontic treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. Our staff will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each available payment plan option, so that you can make the best choice for you and your smile. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget, and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.
To alleviate the pain, normal over-the-counter pain relievers will usually do the trick. Rinsing your mouth with salt water can help provide relief for mouth ulcers. All you need is an 8 ounce glass of warm water mixed with just one teaspoon of salt. Topical numbing solutions such as Ora-base are also helpful to ease ulcer pain.
While actual emergencies are rare, if a traumatic event occurs contact any of our offices as soon as possible. In these situations, X-rays are often necessary to determine the extent of the injury or incident and to determine whether or not the orthodontic appliances have been damaged.

Wonderful Orthodontist. Great care. The team at Sencak are very helpful and answer every question we had with our children's care. Every concern we had with the care of our 3 children was handled as if our children were theirs.

Dr. Sencak and his staff are amazing! I have two sons who are currently in Phase 1 of their treatment. Every step of the way, Dr. Sencak thoroughly explains the steps and details as to what they are doing and why. The office staff is amazing and we are always in and out. They go out of their way to accommodate our busy schedules. They are affordable and have lots of plans to fit different financial situations. Cannot recommend them enough!!

My kids & I love Dr. Sencak & his staff! My daughter says she loves "how funny he is" and my son thinks he's "really nice". I really like the excellent orthodontic care & the attention he gives to special situations. He is super friendly, honest and precise. And his prices are the best in the area! I highly recommend him!

We visited a few different orthodontists before choosing Dr Sencak. The Dr and staff are very friendly, appointments are easy to make and available when you need them. Their costs were much better than other offices in the area. We are happy with our choice! The Dr and staff are easy to get a hold of when needed and scheduling is accommodating and you can usually get an appointment when it's convenient for you.

Both of our sons and our daughter are treated at Sencak Orthodontics. We've been long-time patients and absolutely love his bedside manner and the friendliness of his staff! He is always on time, answers all of your questions and engages the kids in fun conversations that personally relate to them. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

My daughter is almost done with her braces. This staff is incredibly friendly and informative and always asking me if I have any questions or concerns. Furthermore, they are timely with all appointments. We've never waited beyond our scheduled appointment time. Highly recommend.

As a college student from out of the area, I had a very painful orthodontic emergency. From the front desk staff who got me in the next day, to Dr. Sencak who throughly explained the issue and my choices, they were absolutely fantastic! They gave me all my options to move forward and a solution was agreed upon that same day. I had my fix within the week and I couldn't be happier with the services I received. I would highly recommend this orthodontic practice to anyone in the Pittsburgh area!

I'm a 16 year old with retainers and they make it enjoyable when you are there. The staff is very friendly and fun. it doesn't take very long for appointments. I would suggest this place to anyone that is getting braces or retainers.
