Dr. Alan J. Seltzer has been practicing dentistry in Elmira New York since 1979. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, The Sixth District Dental Society of New York State, and the Chemung County Dental Association. He has been an Associate member of the American Academy of Periodontology for over 30 years. He is a graduate of: Ithaca College (BA Biology) The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (DMD), and the University of Rochesters Eastman Dental Center (General Practice Residency in Dentistry). Dr Seltzer graduated The University of Pennsylvania with honors. He was awarded the prestigious Henry Goldman award in Pathology. He has served as a clinical Instructor at the University of Rochesters Eastman Dental Center.

Dr Seltzer is on the Medical Staff of both the Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Saint Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. He has been the dentist on the Cleft Palate Team at Saint Joseph's Hospital for over 30 years.

Dr. Seltzer is actively involved with, and supports, a variety of local community groups and volunteer organizations. He lives in the neighborhood, and frequently bicycles to the office. He is married to Susan and they have three children.
