Dr. Steve Velez, known to his patients as Dr. Steve, obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2003. His love of children led him to complete an additional 2 years in the Pediatric Dental Residency Program at UT Health Science Center. He owned a successful pediatric dental practice in Schertz for 11 years before opening Seguin Children's Dentistry in 2014.
Dr. Tim Henson received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky in 1983, subsequently earning a Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry in 1985 from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Tim's career has included public health, academics and private practice.
He was a faculty member and the Director of the Pediatric Dentistry Residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for twelve years before returning to private practice in 2012. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He also holds active membership in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and has served on various committees and boards of both organizations. Dr. Tim enjoys travel and the joys of great food in his spare time.

Absolutely the best dentist for children, he did my daughter's caps at age 2 and made her feel so comfortable on other visits.

The staff is very kind and accommodating with my autistic child. The dentist however wanted me to hold my child down just to do an exam and wanted to schedule a procedure to just pull 8 teeth and didn't want to explore other options. We switched to alligator dental across town and they were much more patient and my son never cried once and never needed to be held down. AND was able to keep all of his teeth in his mouth with crowns. And not to mention, the dentist at seguin Childrens dentistry missed a VERY infected tooth my child had which was causing him so much pain and was the reason we were there to begin with. The two stars are for the office staff. I recommend getting a second opinion before a procedure is scheduled here.

My 5 kids all have been coming here for the last 3 years. This is by far the best dentist office we've ever been to. I will never take my kids anywhere else. Dr Velez is amazing with the kids and mine range from 2-11 years of age. The staff is so great and friendly. Everytime we come they all make us feel so welcome. We love it here.

Very kid centered! It was amazing! My daughter was afraid and the entire staff is incredible with kids. I've never seen a team so dedicated to keeping kids calm while giving great dental care. Dentist is great, answers all my questions and takes great care of his patients. You can see he loves his career, staff, and the kids. Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely phenomenal. My first time taking my 11 month old and let me tell you they impressed me to the T. If you are looking for a children's dentist without having to worry about your babies come here! My son did not cry once. The staff made him feel very comfortable and he's only 11 months!!! They are great at what they do and I'm so thankful!! Thank you Dr. Velez and staff!!

The best place to bring your kids. It's may not have all the extra gadgets as alligator dental but these people really love their job and children. They put their patients first! Last week my daughter had a tooth emergency on their day off and they came in to work just to get my daughters tooth right. Won't go anywhere else.

Dr. Velez has worked with my son, who has special needs, for years. He built up Elijah's tolerance and trust through much patience and understanding. We are so very grateful for Dr. Velez and his entire staff for their great kindness!

Love this place. Everyone is super Nice and friendly environment . Dr. Velez and staff are very good on explaining everything to you. Love that they always call you back when you give them a call. Would definitely recommend them .

My son had a terrible experience a couple of years ago at another dental office which prevented him from wanting to go again. I made an appointment here and from the moment we got there the staff was very friendly! The dental assistant was patient and kind to my son. Then we saw Dr. Velez and he was awesome! He played around with my son too. We left and on the way home my son says to me, Mom I like that place I want to go back! So thank you to the staff and doctor there! You guys are awesome!!
