Dr. Lee Segrest grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from Madison Academy in 1975. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1979 and attended dental school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1983 where he graduated with an honors degree. He completed a General Practice residency at the Veterans Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, and has practiced dentistry in Huntsville since the completion of his residency program.
Dr. Lee Segrest is currently a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Dental Society, the Alabama Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is happily married to his wife of 25 years, Tami Williams Segrest, and they have two sons, Alan Segrest and Rob Segrest. They attend and are active members of Twickenham Church of Christ. Dr. Lee Segrest spends his spare time doing yard work and playing golf.
Dr. Rob Segrest grew up in Huntsville, Alabama where he graduated from Madison Academy in 2004. He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2008 and his dental degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Dentistry in June of 2012. After graduation, he returned to Huntsville to join his father's, Dr. Lee Segrest, practice. He is a member of the Alabama Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Rob Segrest used to shadow his father in many professional capacities and decided to follow him in his profession. He has worked with dental patients in a variety of dental settings in Birmingham including Christ Health Center, Jefferson County Health Department, and several other offices around the Jefferson County area. These experiences have broadened his dental knowledge and given him the ability to provide a comprehensive and diverse treatment in his own dental practice.
He has been shaped by his upbringing in the Twickenham Church of Christ, where he and his extended family are active and attend services. He is a compassionate dentist, with a great bedside manner that will put any patient at ease. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and working in his yard. He has been happily married now for over eight years to his wife, Jennifer Julian Segrest. Dr. Rob is now a proud father of two beautiful twin girls and one son.
We have four of the best dental hygienists that are experienced and licensed to care for your dental health. Paula Loyd has been with us for 29 years, Elizabeth Neighbors for 23 years, Judy Smith for 15 years, and Melinda Thomas for 4 years.
Margaret Hendrix, who has seniority on the staff, has been an assistant to Dr. Lee Segrest for 33 years. Nikki Lowery has been an assistant to Dr. Rob Segrest for two years, and our newest member, Annalia Edwards, has been with us for almost a year and assists both doctors.
Our front office treatment facilitator is efficiently led by Tammy Johnson who has been with us for 17 years. Tami Segrest, wife and mother, is the office administrator. We try our best to stay on schedule because we know your time is valuable.

I recently had my first root canal and crown completed, and I must say it's now the nicest tooth in my mouth! This whole office conducts itself in such a friendly and professional way. They were easy and even fun to visit. Their communication about appointments, explanation of the services and quality of the work was all top-notch. I will definitely return to Segrest Family Dentistry the next time one of my teeth falls out!

Overall I am really satisfied! All of the employees are very friendly and Dr. Rob Segrest takes the time to talk you through everything he does as he's doing it. The only complaint is that I often feel rushed out as soon as my cleaning or procedure is done. Wish I had more of an opportunity to ask any questions. I'm sure the staff isn't doing it intentionally, they are just a really busy place!

Exceptional staff! I have been coming to them for 25 years and they have always done a wonderful job! They truly care about the health of your teeth and mouth, and will not recommend anything that you do not need.

I went in for a cleaning a few weeks ago and then back today for a filling repair. The staff was amazing both times, I was in and out (the filling repair took all of 15 minutes). I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. My 2 1/2 yar old son had his first cleaning and the dental assistant was so great with him! Dr. Segrest was very personable and did great work both times. I am very happy with our care thus far and foresee many more great visits!

I have been a patient for 4 years. I always get very personalized and professional care. The hygienists are fast, thorough, and courteous. Dr. Segrest is always effective, efficient and personable!

When I changed my insurance company they didn't mention that my new insurance wouldn't limit what they could charge me, so I didn't find out until we went to pay that it was triple price. Our system is ridiculous! If you don't have insurance, the hospitals can charge you 5 times as much; but if you have insurance, it will limit how much they can charge you. Why can't you limit how much they charge you? They don't have to deal with the extra hassle of calling and sending bills to insurance companies too.

Dr. Rob is a great family dentist and really takes care of his patients. I have been a patient for about 2 years. They are a small office, friendly and professional. Very recently on the weekend when his office was closed, I had a dental emergency that required an endodontist. Dr. Rob called me back less than 10 minutes after I left a message on Saturday. He also checked in with me on Sunday and then Monday morning. He called the endodontist for me to ensure I was able to see them on Monday. I'm very impressed with the service I received from them and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a dentist in Huntsville.
