Dr. Cherish Leung is a Board Certified pediatric dentist. She grew up around her many younger siblings and cousins, and throughout her life has been surrounded by children! She loves working with kids and patients with special needs. She is extremely fortunate that her passion for working with kids and her love of dentistry can be combined and allow her to help patients in a unique way daily.
Dr. Cherish graduated undergrad from UCLA, and went on to earn two Masters degreesone in Healthcare Administration and one in Public Health with an emphasis on dentistry. She then attended dental school at Western University of Health Sciences, graduating with honors, and being elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She then moved to New York for general practice residency, where she worked with mostly patients with special needs. She decided New York provided fantastic training in pediatric dentistry and was fortunate to be able to stay for two more years, training at Northwell Health Hofstra School of Medicine Staten Island University Hospital. She worked for a year in Long Island, NY in private practice seeing pediatric patients before moving back to California.
Dr. Cherish loves her husband Steven, her little one, Valor and their multitude of cats. She loves Broadway musicals, crafting, good food, and spending time outdoors. Dr C. is a huge fan of the LA Dodgers and LA Kings and likes going to games with her family. She also loves deep sea and river fishing, but refuses to eat any seafood.

I would give them 10 stars if I could! As a parent, I want my child to have good oral hygiene and not fear going to the dentist. Dr. Cherish and her staff make every visit so fun and welcoming for my son that he loves going to his appointments. Not only do they have a great play area in the waiting room that's full of lots of sensory toys and books, but my son never fusses during his check ups because they always put on his favorite show on a tablet all while Dr. Cherish sings fun songs to keep my son's nerves calm. So even though it takes us 45-60 minutes one way to get to their office, it's totally worth it for us.

I don't typically like to do reviews but I had to for Dr. Cherish. If your child needs a pediatric dentist, go see her!! As a parent with a little one with a dental issue, I appreciate how quickly Dr. Cherish squeezed us in. We drove 4 hours to have our three month old son see Dr. Cherish for an evaluation of his lip and tongue tie even though there were other options 5 minutes away. We chose Dr. Cherish because she is obviously well trained (check out all her degrees: DMD, MHA, MPH) and is an oral facial myologist! During the appointment, Dr. Cherish took the time to explain the procedure, what to expect pre and post op, how to do the stretches we need to prevent reattachment, and showed genuine care for our precious little one. I could tell Dr. Cherish truly cares for her patients and is absolutely worth the drive. Dr. Cherish also used a laser to do the lip and tongue releases, which resulted in a quicker healing time. The office is clean and spacious. There are costumes your children can dress up in, Montessori busy boards to play with, and has an overall very fun atmosphere to help our children enjoy their visit to their pediatric dentist. What a beautiful and talented doctor to help build a positive experience! Our children won't have to grow up fearing the dentist under Dr. Cherish's skilled and gentle hands!

Always a wonderful experience. Staff is super friendly and professional. My little one was a little nervous and they were so patient and worked with him to get his teeth cleaned. Dr. Cherish goes beyond her care to making sure my little one got the toy treat he wanted after his visit. So glad we have found our home for our little ones dental care.

Today is July 21, 2022. The next available appointment is February 2023. Why not close the practice to new patients instead of wasting peoples time with forms?

Dr. Cherish Leung is hands down the most amazing pediatric practitioner I've ever met. The way she handles scared children is incredible. My daughter had to have 3 supernumerary teeth pulled at ages 5-6. She had no idea the doctor had given her a Novocaine injection. Her method of giving the shots were so slick and quick the kids have no idea. The office is clean. I see the gals sanitizing constantly. Everyone in the office takes their time to explain things to the children which in turn puts them at ease. I have referred so many friends to this office. Even though there could be a long wait for an appointment everyone is highly satisfied and happy to have found a dentist their children aren't terrified of. Highly recommend

Fully booked until the end of October... Where are you supposed to go if your 3 year old daughter has tooth ache? Just wait until November? Do I take her to urgent care or emergency room? I remember when I was a kid I will just do a walk in...

Dr. Cherish took such good care of my 2 year old daughter for a traumatic injury to the tooth. My daughter who is normally scared of everyone felt really comfortable being treated by Dr. Cherish! We are so lucky to have her as our dentist!

My children go to Seastar pediatric dentistry and act as if they're at a spa. They absolutely love it and the friendly staff always help my kids feel so comfortable and relaxed while getting their little teeth cleaned and checked. We also absolutely love and appreciate Dr. Cherish and her expertise and friendliness. Their expertise and service is professional and absolutely phenomenal! We are so happy we found Seastar!!

My 2 year old and 5 year old love love love this dental office and all of the wonderful people who work here. We make the 30 min trek here despite having tons of options in our own city because they love it so much. From their care to their treats 5 stars all around. Even my 2 yo who hates getting his teeth brushed at home feels comfortable and will open wide happily here.

We went to see Dr. Cherish just 4 days after our daughter was born because our midwife encouraged us to get her mouth checked for a lip and tongue tie. Dr. Cherish confirmed and diagnosed our daughter with a grade 4 lip and tongue tie. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Cherish to guide us through this experience and procedure. She gave us a lot of valuable information to help us make a decision about having a frenectomy and after getting a second opinion from a lactation consultant and doing a bit of our own research, we scheduled the frenectomy for later that same day. Dr. Cherish and her staff were extremely gentle and comforting to our daughter and us as concerned parents. We were given clear instructions on how to care for our daughter and help her rehabilitate after the procedure and Dr. Cherish also reached out personally via text several times after the procedure to make sure we were all doing okay. Since the procedure, we've seen so much improvement in our baby's ability to breastfeed better and overall with the tightness and tension in her neck. We have been so appreciative for the personal touch and connection shown towards us and our baby. Thank you Dr. Cherish and staff for everything!

My kids always look forward to coming to see dr cherish and all of her amazing hygienists. Everyone's always smiling and so nice while we are there. So easy to chat with and we are always talking stories! Everything is always so clean and sanitized especial during this pandemic. They really have the kids best interest and want to make their experience positive. iPads with literally any show they want to watch, fun prizes that they can see while they are laying in the chair and so many great choices in flavors for the cleaning. If you or your kids are nervous about dental work please consider Seastar! They are truly amazing!

We have been coming to SeaStar Pediatrics for a few years now. All three of our boys (ages six, five, and two), actually look forward to their dentist appointments! The office is always above and beyond when it comes to cleanliness, communication, friendliness, professionalism, and being timely. They are so thorough with appointment scheduling, confirmation, and follow ups. We met Dr. Cherish a few years back, with our third boy on the way. She was so warm and welcoming, and in fact felt like a friend immediately. Not only have we been back every six months for our visits, she started seeing our youngest as a baby.
