Dr. Altenbach has been a dentist in Jacksonville for several years. In 2013, Dr. Altenbach began practicing on his own, becoming part of the esteemed heritage of an established Jacksonville dental practice. Founded in 1946 by Dr. Reuben Groom, the practice has been blessed to serve generations through the hands of Dr. Robert Wagner and Dr. Heather Alton. Dr. Altenbach provides comprehensive and compassionate dental care to patients from ages 3 to 103.
Born and raised in Neptune Beach, Florida, Dr. Sean Altenbach is a native to the Jacksonville community. Graduating high school from Duncan U. Fletcher High School, Dr. Altenbach attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate and dental school. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and a minor in History. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2010.
Upon graduating from dental school in the spring of 2010, Dr. Altenbach joined the practice of Dr. Michael J. Jumber in Jacksonville Beach as an associate. In 2013, Dr. Altenbach began practicing on his own, becoming part of the esteemed heritage of an established Jacksonville dental practice. Founded in 1946 by Dr. Reuben Groom, the practice has been blessed to serve generations through the hands of Dr. Robert Wagner and Dr. Heather Alton.
Dr. Altenbach and his team are committed to the highest level of dental care, offering a wide range of services including restorative and preventative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, start-to-finish implant dentistry, relaxation dentistry, orthodontic care including in-house 3-D printed custom aligners, endodontics, and oral surgery. He believes in serving his patients with honesty, gentleness, and excellence.
Dr. Altenbach is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Northeast District Dental Association. Dr. Altenbach received his Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2015.

The 3D digital panoramic X-ray machine is one of the most appreciated advancements in dental technology by both patients and dental professionals. By providing our patients with an alternative to the traditional bitewing x-ray, we can receive clear images faster, with zero patient discomfort. These images help speed up the treatment process for many of the most popular dental treatments in Jacksonville, including porcelain veneers, dental implants, and crowns.

I highly recommend Dr. A and his entire staff. I am really not a fan of any Dr. office or visits especially dentistry. When I had to get an extraction and a new tooth put in the Dr. was always patient and calm with me even when I was clearly frightened and being a little crazy. He always explained everything in detail and let me ask questions every step of the way. The entire staff has taken great care of me and is always professional and kind. I have referred my entire family to this great practice and will continue to refer anyone who is looking for a great place for their Dentist visits. Wonderful people and a wonderful place.

I took my 4 and 6 year old and it was great! My boys had a great time! We were nervous how they would do, so it was a pleasant surprise. Ms. Dee Dee and Dr. Sean were great! Highly recommend :)

I've never loved going to the dentist and avoid it whenever possible. Dr. Altenbach is amazing though. He put my fears at ease and made me feel comfortable during my dental work. His office is warm and welcoming and the staff is so helpful. His technique is great and I didn't even feel the injections, which is one of my bigger fears! I recommend him to all my friends!

Dr. Altenbach is excellent!! The team he has built is excellent as well! I have been going to this practice for as long as I can remember and I am very happy Dr. Altenbach has taken over. He is concise and gentle in his checkups, which is something I look for in a dental health provider. I am very pleased overall and I have zero complaints!!

Dr. Altenbach is a professional, friendly and caring dentist. He takes his time with each procedure and explains exactly what he's doing. Even at a routine cleaning, he takes the time to talk and never gives the feeling that he's in a hurry. He is genuinely concerned with each person's dental care. He is an excellent dentist and I highly recommend him and his wonderful staff.

I really appreciate Dr. Altenbach and his team. I am terrified of the dentist, but they have worked with me to alleviate my fears. I usually would visit with a dentist once or twice and never return. I have received services from Dr. Altenbach since 2013. In this time, I have dealt with many issues that I had put off for years. I could not wish for a more patient dentist and staff.

Dr. Altenbach and his staff made me feel very safe, secure, and provided high quality, professional care. What a great family atmosphere, and because of the level of comfort and trust, I have now invested in Invisalign braces, about 50 years after the traditional patient! The nice part about this new relationship with Dr. Altenbach, I'll be able to visit the office even more frequently!

I REALLY like Dr. Altenbach! Even though he is completely professional, he is warm, caring and has a wonderful chair side manner! He's very knowledgeable but also very gentle. He explains any and all procedures thoroughly. He is genuinely concerned about the patient's comfort and well being. Plus, he's a really nice man! I've known most of his office staff and assistants for many years. They are always so helpful, friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend Dr. Altenbach and his staff to anyone looking for a dentist for adults or children!

Dr. Altenbaugh and staff are extremely professional at all times. He is a perfectionist with all the work he does and he is honest, low-key, helpful, tells you all the options you have, quotes a price so you will know the cost, and then lets you make a decision. I strongly recommend him to everyone.
