In 2002, when then President Bush called for citizens to hold a Make a Difference Day, Dr. Robert Seaman and his wife, started a program called Creating Healthy Young Smiles (CHYS) to help provide dental care to children under 15 years of age who did not have the financial means to receive regular dental care. We have recently improved that program, to broaden the assistance available to include all family members.

Please allow us a full week to review your application and determine if you qualify for the program and which level of assistance you can receive. If your child is in pain, we can usually review your application the same day, but you need to contact us to let us know the situation so that your application is rushed when we receive it. We may not be able to provide complete approval, if you are not able to provide all supporting documentation, but also have a temporary approval status we can provide in emergency situations.

Seaman Family Dentistry accepts most dental insurance plans, and we are happy to contact your insurance to obtain your benefit information and help you achieve as much coverage as possible. Dr. Robert Seaman is also a preferred provider with Aetna and Delta Dental.

No, we see many patients without dental insurance. Actually, if a dental insurance plan is not provided free of charge from your employer, then it is up to you if you seek out (and pay for) an individual dental plan. Not everyone really benefits from dental insurance, if the cost of the plan plus your out-of-pocket portion combined is going to be more costly than just paying for the services as you need them then a dental insurance plan is not benefitting you.

If you do not have the option to sign up on a plan through an employer, then you take a look at our In-Office dental plan, which has options for individuals, couples, or families this plan only provides benefits at Seaman Family Dentistry. Many of the major dental insurance companies also have options for you to sign up for and purchase single or family dental plans and you can find these options on the insurance company webpages. We do not recommend the discount plans which are frequently offered by credit card companies and other organizations. This type of plan can only be used at certain dental offices, frequently does not provide much of a discount, and may not include many services these are often very inexpensive to purchase, but make sure you check into what offices you can use the discount at and what services are covered and if there are any frequency restrictions on services.

If you are an existing patient, you can set up access to an online patient portal and when you are logged into the portal, you can make online payments if you have a balance due. If you do not have your portal access set up yet, call us or email us to get instructions for setting up your access.

At Seaman Family Dentistry we have our own charitable assistance program called, Creating Healthy Young Smiles. This program was originally only available for children under the age of 15, but it has been expanded to include all members of the family.

Do you lack dental insurance? Does your insurance fall short of covering the full cost of your dental procedures? You can still receive the services you need at prices you can afford when you sign up for our in-office dental plan! This plan is available to you at your next visit with Dr. Robert Seaman.

Our dentist and team implemented the SFD Dental Plan in February 2014 to assist patients without dental insurance. We want our patients to feel secure about their payments and enjoy the health benefits of quality dental treatments. The SDF Dental Plan offers several dental benefits, including discounts at the offices of surrounding specialists.

I had my wisdom teeth done by another surgeon (Billy Turley), I had his phone number but it was after his hours. I was having dry socket from wisdom teeth in one of my teeth, it hurt very bad. I called them and was in in 15 minutes, and he numbed my socket for me quite well, in like one minute. I'll still have to go back to my surgeon for a checkup in the morning(writing this like 15 minutes after the visit), but would highly recommend Seaman. Was straight to the point, fast, and effective. The staff all were very nice as well!

I was having tooth pain. I had called other dentists and could not get me in until weeks later and pretty much told me to take tylenol for my pain. I called Dr Seaman Family Dentistry and i was in the same day!!! They explained to me what i needed done and explained every procedure they did, answered all questions i had. I had a root canal done. The staff was super nice, always asked how im doing during each procedure. Dr and his staff are amazing!!! I have found a new Dentist and i highly recommend this Dentist 100%!!!! Thank you for taking care of me and caring about my tooth pain. You and your staff are caring people and i look at that when im choosing a Dr. I can see you care about your patients.

Felt very rushed to make decions without knowing all choices...no staff really gave me any information on what to do or not do when you go home or give u a timeline of when to return if needed...Dentist and staff were very friendly and respectful to customers and each other...I was in no pain when getting dental work done and never in the office a very long time.

I broke my tooth last night and they were the only office that said they have a 24/7 dental service. They have a number to text/call and you're supposed to get a response within 30 minutes, and after that 30 minutes if you don't hear back they ask that you repeat the text/call because sometimes the phone lags a bit and it doesn't go straight through which I did because I had to use the after hours emergency line. Texted, no answer. Repeated, still no answer. I figured okay, if it goes directly to the dentist maybe something came up, totally fine. It's been 14 hours and I still haven't heard back, even though their office has been open for 3-4 hours now. I can't speak on their normal office visits and staff, but if you have an emergency you're better off waiting until the morning and calling your own dentist than getting your hopes up.

I highly recommend this place, staff is super friendly and helpful, the doctor does amazing work, and tonight he helped my daughter after hours when she chipped her tooth during basketball, we are very grateful they were able to help her right away

My experience has been very disappointing. I had a filling fall out and visited this dental office to have it replaced. After several days of issues I went back in but the issues never subsided. Never did I think I'd experience two months of pain and discomfort. (I had next to no pain before my visit, but had noticed the missing piece and wanted to get it taken care of.) If I weren't out of the country I would visit another dental practice in KC to have it replaced. Until then I'm left with biting into things with one side of my mouth and what's likely to be an expensive visit in my future. I did have a dentist here in Mexico just look at the bite and he did some correcting which has been helpful but hasn't solved the main issue, whatever that may be.I reached out to Seaman Family Dental via phone, the day before I left the country, in tears. The girl said she'd ask the dentist about my symptoms and call me back but no one called. I also emailed last week and didn't receive any response. To credit those that were helpful- I've always thought the dental hygienists were terrific, the techs very kind, and I did appreciate Stacy who was very willing to help me when I called for what would have been my third visit to have this filling corrected, had it not been the night before my international trip. Simply put - I don't think my filling was done with the care and attention it deserved, especially since no X-ray was even taken. Unfortunately, I'll have to take my business elsewhere and hope that my tooth hasn't endured too much trauma from the experience. I worked in healthcare for over 10 years. Simply not responding to a patient is unprofessional and shows a lack of concern.

Highly recommend this dental office!!!!!! My awesome care started before I even stepped foot into the dental office. I went online to find a dental professional that could help me with my progressively very painful tooth ache. It would not stop throbbing (No sleep for 2 nights). I came across the Seaman Family Dental website and got access to Dr. Seaman's emergency text line. Dr. Seaman was able to recommend a instant temporary solution to my pain until I was able to get to the dental office. The following day at my appointment the very professional staff took care of me so good. Nyle - at the front desk, Molly - my dental hygienist (OMG), Taylor - Awesome for handling my insurance stuff. Even the other nice young lady hygienist that recommended the Water Pick Flosser. You all took care of me so well. Finally Dr. Seaman, I am so blessed that I was able to get access to a professional like you on such short notice. I am a patient / customer for life. (10) Stars

I have been going to Dr. Seaman about 4 years now. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I like how they can always try to fit you on the schedule when you have a dental emergency. I was really nervous about getting a root canal, but Molly and Dr. Seaman put me at ease and the procedure wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

So disappointed of this clinic A friend of mine recommended and when my wife was there to evaluation and trying to get deep cleaning they come up with something else way more expensive They were trying to convince her to get it done at the moment and didn't focus on whay she really needs They just want your money! Won't recommended to anyone

Came here to get a crown and a cleaning recently. The staff is astoundingly friendly and they truly care about their patients' dental health. The dentist really cares about the quality of his work and it shows. Not only did my crown turn out perfect, but the entire procedure was painless. They provided by far the best dental experience I've ever had, and I'll be coming here for all of my dental work from now on.

I called in a lot of pain and they were able to get me in quickly that morning. The staff was super friendly. I waited in the waiting area, which was simple and clean for less than 5 mins. Each staff member smiled and said hello as I passed them. The Dentist came in within 10 mins of being in the chair. He was very kind and patient. He explained everything he was doing it and was super gentle. As he was working he made sure I was comfortable. They are also very affordable and reasonable. I plan on making this my regular dentistry home.

If I could give this place a 0/5, I would. The assistance was very unprofessional and Dr. Seaman needs a whole new staff. He really needs to get rid of the lady that makes appointments! My procedures had to be redone multiple times within a one month span. I will NOT be coming back here and I hope nobody has to go through what I experienced with them. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
