I attended the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio and graduated in 1982. The mandate for that school was to bring dental care to rural communities and I have been following that mandate for more than 35 years.

As Sealy has grown it has become possible to realize the dream of providing full-time specialist care to the youth of Sealy in the form of a combined pediatric and orthodontic office. Our pediatric dentists are able to treat a wide variety of dental problems in a safe, comfortable way. Dr. Sears grew up in a small town in Central Louisiana. She became interested in dentistry when she began working as an Orthodontist assistant and Lab assistant as a teenager and during her undergraduate program at Louisiana State University. After receiving her bachelor's degree in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry, Dr. Sears attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and obtained her doctorate in Dental surgery in 2014. During her degree program, Dr. Sears received two prestigious awards for her clinical case on orthodontic movement associated with periodontal extrusion and the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry student award for Devotion to the Science and Advancement of Restorative Dentistry.

Upon completing dental school, Dr. Sears worked two years as a traveling doctor seeing children in underserved areas in rural Louisiana. She later relocated to Houston, Texas, where she provided dental care to inner-city communities.

Dr. Sears is a general dentist but loves working with children so much that her practice is limited to pediatrics. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, and Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity.

When not in the office, Dr. Sears can be found running the park, practicing yoga, or trying new restaurants. She also enjoys traveling and exploring Texas. Dr. Sears is excited to practice in Sealy and prides herself on providing the best dental care possible. She strives always to be compassionate towards her patients, is very detail-oriented, and most of all loves working with children of all ages. She is looking forward to meeting all of the fantastic families at Sealy Kids Dentistry.

Theresa started her dental career as a dental assistant with Dr. Zboril in 1995. She serves as the companys lead operations strategist. Her love for leadership and development has given her the opportunity to travel to all the Sealy Dental Center locations. Theresa enjoys continuing education courses to ensure the growth and future of our leadership team.

As the office manager for Sealy Kids Dentistry, Kristeens job is to oversee the office operations. The most rewarding part of her job is to ensure the best possible experience for our patients. She has over 11 years of experience in dentistry with 7 of those years being strictly in pediatrics. She chose to work with kids because they are so fun to be around and their smiles brighten her day!

Kelly is a part of our front desk team and handles all insurance-related tasks. She is available to answer all your questions or concerns regarding your insurance and benefits. While she primarily handles the insurance for the office, she is available to help you with any business-related needs. She looks at each day as an opportunity to learn something new and exciting.

Julie is our Dental Hygienist. She comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the field. She is very passionate about a more comprehensive approach to dental health, which begins with our little ones. She loves knowing that she can give them the best experience while educating them on proper dental care.

Angela spends her day providing chairside assistance for our doctors and ensuring each patient has a positive experience and feels comfortable during their treatment procedure. Her kind attitude and bright smile are why our patients love her!

La Shanda has recently joined our team and has been on a mission ever since. She has grown with our practice and progressed so quickly with her can-do attitude and loving spirit. She enjoys creating positive experiences and building and maintaining genuine relationships with each of our little patients.

You can find Hope providing chairside assistance to our doctors in treatment. She is committed to ensuring that our patients and parents are both comfortable during treatment. Her calming personality helps every child feel more at ease and comfortable in the chair.
