A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the placement of dental implants and the treatment of the gum and bone tissues surrounding the teeth. Periodontists have advanced training beyond dental school in dental implant placement and the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease.

For over a decade, Dr. Sheryar Aslam has been helping people like you restore the health and function of their mouths with effective gum disease treatment, cosmetic gum care and state-of-the-art dental implant placement.
In 2005, Dr. Aslam received his doctor of dental surgery degree (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry. He went on to complete his post-doctoral training at the University of Connecticut School of Dentistry, earning his specialty certification in periodontics in 2008.
A periodontal specialist, researcher and innovator, Dr. Bernard Gants has written numerous clinical articles for periodontics publications and holds patents for dental hygiene and implant technology and equipment. He has also served as an instructor and researcher in the U.S. and France on the subject of periodontics and dental implants and has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Gants received his dental degree in 1978 at Paris Descartes University and his specialty degree in periodontics from Loma Linda University in 1985. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.
