Prosthodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. Prosthodontists are dental specialists in the restoration and replacement of teeth who have completed dental school plus three additional years of advanced training and education in an ADA-accredited prosthodontic graduate program.
Extensive training and experience provide prosthodontists with a special understanding of the dynamics of a smile, the preservation of a healthy mouth and the creation of tooth replacements. Serving as the architect of a dental treatment plan, a prosthodontist collaborates with general dentists, specialists and other health professionals to develop solutions to dental and oral health concerns.
Prosthodontists provide an extremely high level of care to patients with missing teeth, or having significant damage to their existing teeth. Prosthodontists work with congenital defects as well as problems arising from trauma and neglect.
Prosthodontists are highly trained in state-of-the-art techniques and procedures for treating many diverse and complex dental conditions and restoring optimum function and esthetics. These include: crowns, bridges, complete and removable partial dentures, dental implants, TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouths structure and/or teeth, snoring or sleep disorders and oral cancer reconstruction and continuing care.
Dr. Lisa Schulman is a prosthodontist practicing in Portsmouth, NH. She has been providing speciality dental services on the Seacoast for over twenty years. Dr. Schulman graduated from NYU School of Dental Medicine in 1992. From there she went on to a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at SUNY at Stony Brook. Following that, she attended the Medical College of Virgina to receive her certificate in the Specialty of Prosthondontics. Prosthodontics is a dental specialty recognized bythe American Dental Association that deals with cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and temporomandibular joint disorders.
Dr. Schulman cofounded the Seacoast Esthetic Dentistry Association which is in its 20th year of providing continuing education to local and visiting dentists from speakers that are nationally and internationally known. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontists, the NH Dental Society and the American Association of Craniofacial Pain.

Dr. Schulman not only replaced five crowns, she remolded them and added a veneer to give me a full, even smile. The process was well planned, the cost reasonable and the results are truly amazing. I wish I had done this years ago! Lisa and her team are very attentive, knowledgeable and personable... and they are superb at easing anxiety!! I highly recommend Seacoast Dream Dentistry for any services you made need.

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Shulman and her amazing staff.Everyone there is very sweet,kind and understanding.Since my dentures are perfection I doubt I'll need to go back. I will miss seeing them all.Go no where else for your dentures as they don;t look like dentures they look like my real teeth! An easy five star rating :D.

Thank you so much to Dr. Schulman for years of great service. I have a bridge that needed to replaced after 20 years and she did an incredible job. She is extremely particular and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend for all complex dentistry cases and I really appreciate how hard they work to get the job done right!

All porcelain fillings were put in with rough edges which pulled on the floss. in addition, one of the front tooth porcelain pill fillings fell out twice and she would not make good on the replacement after only 2 years. The first time it fell out was after only 4 months. Way too pricey and not good work.

Dr. Shulman is great easy to talk to very understanding of your dental issues did a great adjustment to a denture that was painful and horrificly made by another dentist. Highly recommend her and the entire staff they all were wonderful.

Dr. Schulman is an excellent dentist - my whole family has been very pleased with her work and that of her staff. My adult 29 year-old son, my husband, my 89 year-old mother, and I have all presented with various issues, some quite complex, and she has managed all of them perfectly. We are very happy with Dr. Schulman and are happy to recommend her and Seacoast Dream Dentistry.

I had a crown done by Dr. Schulman, and couldn't be more pleased with the result. Almost as soon as my crown was installed, the pain that I had been "soldiering through" went away. I wish I had done it sooner. My new tooth is an exact replica of my old one, minus the giant crack, and I'm happy to say it is in daily, pain free use

It may be called, "Dream Dentistry", but for me it was an ongoing nightmare. The staff is very affable and constantly praise Doctor Schulman's' work. The truth of the matter is the knowledge and proficiency that Doctor Schulman has related to complex dental restoration is dubious at best. My original dental work was done by Harvard dental staff and was functional for ten years. The work done by Doctor Schulman caused problem after problem and short lived. Issues I had to endure were; bad fitting, cement not holding, teeth breaking, misalignment of teeth and problem chewing ect.. For a year she haphazardly tried to correct her mistakes with excuse after excuse. I had to have the work done correctly elsewhere within four years. Do not make the mistake I did with " Dream Dentistry" it could turn out to be a very long and wasteful experience.
