Dr. Safaei is a premiere dentist serving the Kern County Community including, Bakersfield, Tulare, Taft, Porterville, Lamont, Delano, Arvin, Shafter, Tehachepi, McFarland, and surrounding areas.
Dr. Safaei grew up in Southern California and obtained his undergraduate degree in 3 years from USC. A feat few can achieve. His loyalty kept him at the prestigious University of Southern California to finish his Doctorate of Dental Surgery where he graduated at the top of his class. During his tenure he excelled at Oral Surgery and Esthetics where upon graduation he was hand selected by the faculty to receive the top award sponsored by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. After receiving his degree, Dr. Safaei practiced in Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, and surrounding areas eventually finding his niche in Bakersfield and laid roots at his own office at SDDS Dental.
Dr. Safaei continues to better himself understanding that being the best is continuum of learning. He attends dozens of hours of Continuing Education to keep him ahead of his peers and allow him to personalize his treatment plans for his patients. He expanded his grasp on general dentistry to include implants, veeners/lumineers, invisalign (invisble braces), sedation (for the fearful patient), esthetic crowns and fillings, and much more.
Many regard Dr. Safaei as Bakersfields best dentist! His depth of knowledge along with his experience has a profound effect on his patients. In his free time Dr. Safaei enjoys spending time with his friends and family and frequently visits LA to spend quality time with his family. He enjoys hiking and regularly hikes at Runyon Canyon and likes finding new adventures and hiking spots. He enjoys photography and his stills can be viewed in his office at SDDS Dental.

We value our patients time and respect their time off. We are closed for the weekends to allow our patients to spend time with their loved ones. We are open late in order to accomodate patients who work a regular schedule.

I've been going here for several years and the dental staff never disappoints. They are so respectful, kind, and professional. I recently had my silver caps replaced yesterday and Dr. Safaei followed up with me by messaging me this morning to see how I was doing. I've never had a dentist do that. I recommend anyone ti come here

Dr. Safaei, and his whole staff are amazing. I had a deep cleaning without any pain and with the upmost care. I don't like dentists usually but Dr. Safaei is the best hands down. If you're looking for a new dentist, You've found him.

Friendly, professional staff. Dentist seems to know his stuff and is honest and communicative. Secretary is awesome and always follows up even though I never pick up their calls or respond to texts. Always in and out, never any issues. What more could I want?

I have been going here for about 8+ years. The Dr. Is always professional and quick. He listens to all my concerns regarding my teeth. The staff are friendly and willing to help with payment plans. His office is always willing to schedule when it's convenient for me. Love the office, very clean.

Being someone that hasn't really had a good experience at the dentist, it felt really refreshing and comforting to come across a dental office and staff who are very kind, professional, and informative. I am extremely terrified of the dentist. I always have been as long as I can remember. I feel anxious to the point of being physically sick days before my appointment and I'm a complete wreck the entire time I am in a dentist office. However, I saw Dr. Safaei for a consultation and I immediately felt at ease. We even had some laughs while I was in the dentist chair. His staff is wonderful and courteous and really does their best to help you get the very best care you can afford with your insurance. They send reminders and the booking and paperwork process is extremely easy. When it was the day of my appointment to have two procedures done I was a wreck but again Dr. Safaei in his staff were patient and supportive and helped me through the procedure. I put my AirPods in and before four songs had played Dr. Safaei was done. It felt like he had just started. I survived both procedures! I can honestly say the only thing I felt was one of the shots there was absolutely no pain with the procedures at all . I genuinely trust Dr. Safaei to take care of me and to make sure that I am not in pain and I can genuinely say that I am not feeling anxious or dreading my next upcoming appointment. That is huge for me... Definitely a first for me! Thank you to Dr. S and his awesome staff at SDDS Dental!!!
