Dr. Anthony Hatch is originally from Detroit, Michigan, and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland, where he graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Hatch stays ahead of the latest advances in smile makeovers and traditional dental treatments, including the latest high-tech equipment and procedures. He has been a national dental educator since 2008 and has trained hundreds of dentists across North America on the art and science of Smile Design. He truly loves dentistry and spends hours reading the latest dental literature and hundreds of hours each year attending lectures on new procedures and materials.Dr. Hatch also loves dentistry because of his great patients. He loves taking the time to get to know each patient. Not only does he care about helping his patients achieve optimal dental health, but he also takes the time to get to know the patients wants. This type of commitment is evident in the great dentistry he provides his patients and the smiles on his patients faces.Dr. Hatch enjoys working with his great staff as well. He feels proud of the compassionate, friendly culture they have cultivated and truly enjoys coming to work each day. When hes not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his kids, traveling, playing guitar, and going to car shows. Dr. Tony loves talking about music, especially Rock n Roll, and would love to know what the first concert you attended was. His first concert was White Snake, of course!

This involves coming to our office to get a set of reusable, custom-fitted whitening trays. This process takes only a few minutes, and youll come back in a few weeks to pick up your trays, whiteners, and instructions. Then, you can whiten your smile in the comfort of your own home and enjoy professional-grade results on your schedule.
In-office whitening is faster than take-home whitening, so its a good option for special occasions. Youll simply come into our office, and Dr. Gupta or Dr. Tony will clean your teeth, protect your gums, and apply powerful whitening products to your teeth. Then, they will use a UV light to excite the whitener. This process may be repeated several times to reach your desired level of brightness.
We dont usually recommend using over-the-counter (OTC) whiteners. They do not offer as effective results as professional whitening, and if you use them improperly, you could end up damaging your teeth. To protect your oral health, its important to have your teeth whitened by a professional.
Clear aligners do not impact your appearance or speech, allowing you to straighten your smile using a more subtle treatment. They can also be removed to eat, so there are no dietary restrictions.Since theyre removable, this also makes it easier to brush and floss, which keeps your teeth and gums healthy. To begin, Dr. Gupta or Dr. Tony will need to perform an orthodontic exam to see if youre a good candidate for clear aligners. If youre approved, they will take images and x-rays of your mouth, and they will work with Invisalign or SureSmile to build your treatment plan and your first few sets of aligners. Youll come back to pick up your aligners in a few weeks.
Once you get your aligners, Dr. Tony or Dr. Gupta will provide you with instructions on how to wear your aligners and how to care for them and your smile during treatment. Then, youll follow their instructions and wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, swapping to a new set about every 2 weeks or as instructed by the team at Scripps Rock Dental.
Youll need to come back every 4-6 weeks for a quick checkup. At this time, Dr. Gupta or Dr. Tony will also give you your next few sets of aligners. This basic process will be repeated until your treatment is over, which usually takes about a year.
Clear aligners are often more effective for older teens and adults. This is because older, more mature individuals are more likely to wear their aligners consistently for 20-22+ hours per day. Younger teens may be better off with traditional braces.

I have been going to Scripps Rock Dental since 2016. I've had a lot of dental issues throughout the years having gum disease and several teeth restored. Dr Hatchs and his staff are not only expertise in what they do they are so kind and concerned about my needs and comfort! I now live out of state but will travel to have my dental work done by Dr hatch and his staff that's how much I trust his work!

I'm at Scripps Rock Dental every 3 months for teeth cleaning. The reception staff are very cordial and get you checked in right away. My dental hygienist is Diana and she does an awesome job! Great place for your dental needs!

Always an amazing experience. Never thought I would miss my dentist office. I recently lost a crown, swallowed it. I had to decide between getting it fixed locally in WA, or flying down to see Dr Hatch. I talked to the staff about my issue, they were very responsive. They gave me the info I needed to decide, set me up with a last minute spot, and was even able to schedule a cleaning after due to a cancellation. I honestly couldn't be happier. Love the environment. I've never felt any shame for the state of my teeth when I go in. They make me feel welcome every time. And they've taken my smile from dismal to amazing. You couldn't ask for a better dentist team. Because the whole office is amazing!

It's really pretty much a 5 star review. I'm visiting with my daughter - we live in South Carolina. I wake up and have my breakfast. Out pops my crown. No pain but I'm definitly flummoxed. I call Scripps - It's within walking distance. It's about 9:40 on Tuesday. Unbelieveably they can get me in @ 10:30. I'm quickly in the chair and Dr Gupta examines me. She says she can fix me up in about 2 hrs. I was expecting a temporary crown, but know. They have their own lab and can make what I need while I'm in the chair. 12:38 - I'm walking out. My wallet somewhat lighter but they take Delta Dental and that helped. I was overwhlemed and pleased by the service and quality of what they provided. It's been a couple days. So far, all good. Thanks! You saved my bacon.

I came here after a terrible experience with a previous dentist, and they have been fantastic. Dr. Gupta and Dr. Russell are the best! Monica is an excellent hygienist. Shout out to Jackie and Monique for holding down the financial and insurance stuff. Jenna and Enza are very professional and friendly. My employer provides dental insurance that the office does not accept, but they are so good that I do not mind paying to receive treatment here. If you are looking for quality dental professionals, I highly recommend you try them.

Dr . Hatch and his associates are top-notch. They have provided me with excellent care as they repaired several correct teeth, helped me with general maintenance. They also helped me obtain a new front tooth after I had a bad accident which injured a front tooth beyond repair. Office staff are very pleasant and competent. They act as an excellent go-between when I need to speak to one of The dentists. And, the recetionists always make me feel welcome as I enter the building. All - in - all, I highly recommend this very professional practice.

Incredible bedside manner. Really friendly and respectful. Always used my wife's proper pronouns, which meant a lot because she's trans, but doesn't present as a woman yet. They made her feel safe and comfortable. An excellent experience all around.

This review is long over due. I was referred to Dr.Hatch by a relative almost 2 years ago for a tooth that broke which my local dentist said was not fixable and required an implant. (He's no longer my dentist) Dr.Hatch said he can fix it, he explained and showed me what he will do, and was able to get me in and out the next day, the rest is history. I travel 25 miles one way to Just to have work done on my teeth from one of San Diego best dentist, He's worked on about 7 of my teeth so far and I am extremely satisfied, another plus is the crown is installed the same day, there's no two week waiting period , each crown is of high quality and a perfect fit. Dr, Hatch is credible and honest and makes me feel at ease, I have all the confidence in him. The staff is professional and welcoming, if any issues arise SRD office staff are able to schedule an appointment for me the same day or the next day at the latest. I've had about 4 cleanings so far at SRD. Dianna is my hygienist, she is a good listener, communicates well and suggests what I need to do in order keep my teeth clean and does an awesome cleaning on my teeth every time. I highly recommend Scripps Rock Dental!!!

I've been going to Dr. Hatch for several years now and our whole family now goes to Scripps Rock. You can't beat listening to rock music at the dentist. Plus Galaga and PacMan in the lobby. Yes!

Scripps Rock Dental is awesome in every aspect of service from checking in for an appointment to even the billing process. I had a lovely experience here today for a cleaning and full exam! Monica took care of my cleaning and I also saw Dr Hatch to propose some treatment. Will definitely be coming back, I haven't had such a positive experience like today, in such a long time!! I highly recommend this office for sure!!!
