Dr. Gold considers himself a native of Scottsdale and takes pride and joy in the community that he serves. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) training at the UCLA School of Dentistry in Los Angeles, CA after completing his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology/Political Science at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
Dr. Gold was introduced to the world of dentistry at an early age and has had multidisciplinary training and experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician. With this experience and in-depth clinical CEREC experience, Dr. Gold is a pioneer in the new era CAD/CAM and Digital 3-D Dentistry and has developed Scottsdale Dental Center as the flagship for oral healthcare into the future.
When Dr. Gold is not researching & implementing advancements in oral health, he enjoys spending time with his sisters, playing tennis, hiking, community service, reading, and trying out all of the new food venues in the Phoenix Area.
Tami knew at the age of 9 that she wanted to pursue a career in the dental profession. She graduated from Southern Maryland Dental in College Park, Maryland with a Registered Dental Assistant/Radiation Technologist Certification. After holding the position of Lead Dental Assistant for 6 years, she turned her focus to office administration. She now has 22 years experience as a Dental Office Manager.
She relocated to Arizona in 2008 & has now fallen in love with the hot Arizona sunshine. Tami is always furthering her dental knowledge by attending continuing education classes, listening to dental podcasts, and reading dental management publications. She is a proud member of AADOM, American Association of Dental Office Managers and is also a member of the local Arizona Gold Chapter of AADOM. She was awarded fellowship into the American Association of Dental Office Management in 2018. Outside of the dental office she enjoys playing with her adorable little shih-tzu, Mojo, and catching Diamondback baseball games.
Tami prides herself in building lasting relationships with patients and being able to help them understand their needed treatment, their dental insurance and financial options. Its clear when you meet Tami that she loves her position at the office and is very proud to be a part of such an amazing team. She looks forward to helping all of our wonderful patients obtain the smiles they deserve!
Iliana is originally from Nogales, Arizona. She moved to Phoenix in 2010 to pursue her interest in healthcare. Although there are many interesting avenues in health care, dentistry drew her in, and she quickly knew she wanted to be apart of it.
In 2013 she graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Registered Dental Assistant. In the past 6 years Iliana has grown her expertise using modern technology in dentistry. She has since furthered her education and is now X-ray, Infection Control, and Coronal Polish Certified. She is great at understanding patients wants and needs when it comes to being in the dental chair. She makes our patients her #1 priority and her goal is to always make sure they feel comfortable and happy with their treatment.
Outside the office Iliana enjoys being with family and friends. She has recently become an aunt and loves spending time with her new nephew. Her hobbies include attending concerts, going to the gym and hanging out with her two spoiled rotten dogs.
She started her career in dentistry in 2017, when she graduated from Rio Salado College. She is proud to be a Registered Dental Hygienist. She enjoys providing service to her patients, and helping patients achieve a healthy happy smile.

I've been coming here for over two years and it's nice to walk into a consistent practice. The staff turnover seems very low and they are always very friendly. Unfortunately I have had a couple other dental offices that were not this way so it makes my visits at Scottsdale Dental Center very enjoyable. Haha yes I am enjoying going to the dentist; this Dentist!

Dr Gold and team are excellent. In my 50's my teach and gums have actually gotten stronger from their guidance. I recommend a consolation at a minimum to learn how they can help you and your family be healthier overall.

Finding an honest dentist is a lot like finding an honest car mechanic; Good luck, and if you do end up finding one, don't let go! If you're reading this review, consider yourself lucky, because you just found one. Dr. Gold and his team has showcased a level of professionalism and honesty that I have never experienced before. Dr. Gold uses an evidence-based approach for dental health maintenance. Where other dentists would dive at the opportunity to do a filling or crown on any tooth that "could" have a cavity, Dr. Gold keeps tracks of defects of your teeth in-between visits and only operates when the evidence supports that the defect is getting worse. Dr. Gold has earned my trust, and I feel confident that his decisions are not financially motivated. The cherry on top is that his team is just as exceptional, such as Sharlie who is both a talented hygienist and fun to talk to.

Having nearly completed a 6 month long process of repairing a mouthful of teeth, I cannot imagine how the care and service could be improved. Dr. Gold has put together a team of people committed to providing a positive experience for a normally uncomfortable process. From the first contact, it has been clear patient satisfaction is of paramount importance. Detailed explanations of the variety of approaches that can be taken to solve a problem provided me with the ability to make the best choices for my situation. Implementation of those choices has been flawless. My only recommendation is that there could be offered an option for more than five stars!

I have been so pleased with how friendly everyone is there. Dr Gold takes your concerns seriously and finds a solution and explains your options while also taking the cost into consideration. When you walk in the door Tami always has a smile on her face. I would recommend this Dentist to anyone!!

Professional, friendly and responsive staff. They run on time, are accommodating with scheduling emergencies and explain treatment plans and costs thoroughly. Dr. Gold is very personable. He explains treatment options in understandable terms and is superb at what he does. I'm glad I found Scottsdale Dental Center for my dental needs!

Thank you so much! I have spent my whole life embarrassed and ashamed of how my teeth looked, and for the past year I've genuinely been excited to go to the dentists office. Every single person on the staff did such an excellent job taking care of me, I can't thank them enough for how they've changed my life. My confidence is through the roof and I can't stop smiling. As someone who travels constantly for work, and even moving states away during Covid, Dr. Gold and Tami made scheduling all of my appointments flexible, and Dr. Gold re-made my entire smile with clear aligners, whitening, and fillings. Everything they use is modern and that makes the process as pain free as possible. Tami was extremely easy to work with on financing as well as flights and overall concerns I had with the process. The staff constantly checked on me through text, call, and FaceTime. They felt like family by the time I was finished, and I can't wait to see them again.

Very kind, professional staff; everyone at Scottsdale Dental Center is wonderful! The hygienist is very gentle and I was able to have a regular cleaning without anesthetic for the first time in 6 years. Incredibly glad that I tried SDC, I will never go anywhere else!

My family decided to catch up on our dental work, it had been TOO LONG. We scheduled our appointments, Tami was SO helpful & patient with us while figuring out paperwork. Sharlie did my daughters initial cleaning & truly made the experience fun for her, waited while my daughter was being dramatic & ensured her the sugar bugs were going away. My appointment was just as great. Dr. Gold was kind & inspiring rather than guilting us for neglecting our teeth! Creating a plan to get us on track while being aware of the financial stresses. I highly highly recommend choosing this office as your family dentist.

Scottsdale Dental Center is an amazing place. You feel welcomed and appreciated immediately by Tami the office manager. The staff are outstanding and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I had a negative teeth whitening experience at a different clinic. After meeting with Dr Gold and the hygienist they developed a plan of care to make me feel safe and comfortable. I am very happy with my whitening results and the follow up care that I received. The service here is amazing! Tami was so welcoming at my first appointment. They were on-time too. I saw Sharlie, the hygenist, at the time of my scheduled appointment. Dr. Gold was really kind as well! He sat down and discussed the long-term plan for my teeth and also offered to provide an x-ray for my oral surgeon who is taking my wisdom teeth out this summer. You can tell everyone at the office is genuinely looking out for you. I also love how tech-forward they are too. Tami communicated with me via text to confirm things and then I filled out all the paperwork electronically. They also have wifi in the office! Highly recommend coming here.

Dr. Gold is a great dentist; he is friendly, knowledgeable, and very thorough. He always does a great job of calmly explaining everything he is going to do prior to completing the procedure to put you at ease. The rest of the office staff is professional & welcoming. Dr. Gold is by far the best dentist I've ever had!

I got my cleaning today, the dental hygienist Sharlie did an excellent job and Doctor Gold is great. All the staff are very polite and care about helping the patients. I highly recommend this office.

Unfortunately I went to this dental office when they just started up almost 2 years ago. I had my top left cavities filled. Now the same tooth is giving me bad pain again and had to inquire my families new dentist to get the fillings redone again. Scottsdale dental used TWO different types of fillings which is not right. I am now spending an additional $300 to get this fixed when it should've been fixed the first time. Disappointed, hopefully they are aware of this and are now doing better!
