Dr. Scott Udoff is a general dentist who approaches his craft with precision and expertise, cultivated through years of rigorous study. His passion for dentistry began on the West Coast with a love for scuba diving, where Dr. Scott Udoff wanted to understand the underwater world. He became more intrigued with the chemistry of the ocean than its inhabitants and shifted his undergrad degree from marine biology to chemistry.
In 1997, Dr. Scott Udoff earned his bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Santa Cruz and, with the encouragement of his mentor, continued on for graduate work in chemistry. Dr. Udoff was at an extended family social event and found himself only talking about his research. He was not connecting to the people around him in a meaningful way. Dr. Udoff soon realized that he wanted to be in a profession where he can create relationships, cultivate hope, and empower freedom of choice for a better life.
With his love of science and working with his hands and ability to form lasting, meaningful relationships, he was lead into to dentistry. He made a cross-country move to continue his education at the distinguished University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he was awarded his D.M.D. in 2005. Dr. Udoff conducted his general practice residency at the VA of New Jersey in 2006.
After earning his credentials, Dr. Udoff continued to hone his skills by pursuing continuing education beyond that of most dentists. His passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health first brought Dr. Udoff to the prestigious Pankey Institute for Comprehensive Oral Rehabilitation. He then partnered with the Schuster Center for dental professional excellence.
Dr. Udoff further pursued his desire to help his patients reach excellent health at Occlusion Connections, the center for Gneromuscular Dentistry and Orthopedic Advancement. He now bridges together optimal oral, systemic, and total body health in what he has coined as total body dentistry. Through this path, Dr. Udoff developed expertise in the fields of cosmetic dentistry, TMJ, holistic dentistry, computed mandibular scanning (K7), dental lasers, Invisalign, and orthopedically guided orthodontic therapies.
Dr. Udoff established his Middletown, New York, dental office in 2009 with the purpose of providing patients with goal-oriented comprehensive, state-of-the-art dental care. By combining his vast knowledge of general dentistry with his expertise in cutting-edge treatments, Dr. Udoff is able to perform the highest quality general, restorative, cosmetic, and total body dentistry possible while also prioritizing the patients overall well-being.
Dr. Udoff and his family live in Rockland County, NY. Dr. Udoff and his wife, a certified nurse midwife, have four amazing children: three daughters and one son. They enjoy hiking, cooking, playing music, glass fusion, and family time. Dr. Udoff is an avid XC mountain bike rider. He rides all seasons and conditions. Whenever on a family vacation, Dr. Udoff is looking for trails. Be it Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or upstate New York (Adirondacks). For rest and solace, Dr. Udoff enjoys playing classical guitar.
A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Maggie likes to spend most of her time outside of the office with her husband and three children. During her rare quiet moments, youll also find her crocheting.
Chanda has been a valuable member of our team for four years, bringing over 22 years of dental experience to our practice. She says that the best thing about her job is interacting with all of our patients and getting to know you and your families. She also likes to help patients feel as comfortable as you can during your visits.
Originally from Rockland County, NY, Chanda is married with a teenage son and four beloved fur babies (two dogs and two cats). She likes to spend her free time planting, hiking, and camping, but one of her biggest passions outside of dentistry is cooking. Nothing makes her happier than to have a great dish in front of her.

I would NEVER recommend this dentist to anyone. He does NOT care for his patients, only their money. I was swindled out of near $10,000 for an extensive TMJ treatment that I was manipulated into believing that my health would deteriorate without this treatment. The appliance he made which he claimed was "invincible", broke in my hands, to which he insinuated I was lying. I had to pay for the repairs for his mistake for not fitting it correctly for my mouth which lead to it breaking. It was then that he realized I had been wearing an ill-fitted appliance for 7/8 months which caused me immeasurable pain and caused my bottom gums to recede. When I called the office to speak with the doctor about why it wasn't working and how he could fix it they claimed he was busy with his patients and refused to speak with me. He refuses to refund me for any of my lost money.

Very disappointed, I paid upfront almost a month in advance 150 dollars that was required for a consultation on a tooth that needed to be pulled and a new one put in. The tooth cracked a few days after my phone call and few weeks before my appt. I begged but He could not find a time in three weeks to fit me in to help. I understood if he was that booked however I had to get the tooth taken care. The pain was horrible for me so I went to another specialist and he took care of it before his first appt for me. Without a consultation fee. Dr Udoff would not cancel or refund my 150 although he made no effort to get me in earlier and I no longer needed him as the other dentist took care of it. I think waiting another three weeks in pain was not appropriate. I'm sure he could have filled my appt as he could not get me in for an emergency in three weeks for a cracked tooth. He would not refund the consultation fee for the tooth he couldn't go out of his way to help me with. My other half was having work done and he wouldn't use the credit towards him either. That is greedy And very very unethical. Beware of doctors like this when it's only about the money.

dr. scott Udoff and his crew are amazing, ive never had a dentist or doctor for that spent so much time talking with me about my dental needs and general health before. they have a realistic , non corporate view of health and wellness. i would even recommend dr. Udoff to my former dentist if he needed some work done.

Dr. Udoff is the best dentist we've ever been to! He took the time to engage with my autistic son and spent a ton of time with him. They were laughing and joking and the next time we went in, Dr. Udoff made sure to come in and joke with him again during his cleaning. He really cares, he takes the time to explain and make sure you understand everything and he doesn't push work just to get $$$ like so many other dentists do. We love him and hope to get all of our family working with him, he just doesn't take our insurance, but it's worth the fee.

Karter indicated that he had a great time at the dentist. The dental hygienist is gold. She allowed Karter (4-yrs old) to hold the instruments and immerse himself in the experience. He talked about it all afternoon. I appreciate that he has a positive memory of going to the dentist.

Everyone in the office was so friendly and professional. Unfortunately it took me awhile to find a dentist office i could trust and be comfortable going to. The staff was phenomenal and I'm so happy to have found a permanent dentist office!

I would give you a ten if I could. After years and 6 dentists you are the only one I trust. Being a baby when it comes to dentists I can trust in you. You think outside of the box, you're friendly, personable, have a sense of humor and you're not a jerk. I am no longer afraid of the dentist. Udoff don't know what he's doing and told me I could get a root canal and not need a post and crown afterwords. Now I'm paying the price couple years later. Find someone else before this hack gets to you.
