Dr. Taylor believes that achieving optimal oral health relies on a patient/doctor partnership for health. His emphasis while communicating with patients is to listen first because jumping into treatment too quickly, without a clear picture of the patients whole body health, can do more harm than good.
He lives in beautiful San Luis Obispo County with his wife Jaymie and three children. He loves to be in the company of others, close friends, or casual acquaintances. Raised in a small town himself, he feels right at home in Morro Bay where you just cant help but bump into to someone you know . . . anywhere you go.
By continually exceeding California continuing education requirements, Dr. Taylor can provide you with themost up-to-date and broad-ranging services. He graduated from The University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry, is an accredited member of the IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology), and a general member of theAGD (Academy of General Dentistry), CCDA (California Central Coast Dental Association),CDA (California Dental Association),ADA (American Dental Association), Weston Price Foundation and Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation.
He is a do-it-your-selfer with projects ranging from building a backyard climbing wall for the kids to making furniture for the office. He values reading, music, drawing, and exploring natural spaces.
Dr. Taylor loves teaching and learning. In addition to his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, he holds multiple degrees in the humanities and has studied Communications and Integrative Biological Dental Medicine on a Doctoral level.

This place is the real deal. Dr. Taylor is a great doctor, with great chair-side manner. The office is clean, and staff polite. Clean, safe, holistic dental procedures are used.

As a former dental hygienist, and from selling dental products for the last 10+ years, I have the advantage of seeing all types of dentists - from general dentists to oral surgeons, from terrible ones to the highest skilled and most competent. I can't leave reviews for the bad ones, but I can for the best ones! Dr. Taylor embodies the best of knowledge, clinical expertise, and skills. He invests greatly in continuing education as well as the most modern equipment and technologies. He cares and it shows. More than that, he is one of the most ethical doctors I know. He could have immediately said "yes" to the $4,000 in veneers I was thinking of for my front teeth, but he literally told me "I would rather fix this tooth ($200 fix) every 5 years if we have to, than do unnecessary procedures that may harm the perfectly healthy adjacent teeth". You can trust him - and for me, that is all the difference. Thank you, Dr. Taylor, for putting me back together again today!

Took great care of my wife and worked with us on using safer (minimally toxic) dental implants & techniques to ensure the best outcome. This guy is a total pro and runs a great practice. Glad he's here.

I have had bad dental experiences in the past. I avoided going for years. Needless to say my mouth was a mess. I had a cavity that would have gone to a root canal with any other dentist. He was able to save my tooth. He explained the process and educated me along the way. I'm so glad I found Dr Taylor.

Best dentist I've ever been to. The hygienist removed years of stains with scraping an polishing that for some reason no other hygienist bothered to attend to. The Dr. Taylor explained everything and was attentive to my concerns. Mindful of both health and aesthetics. The office is immaculate with relaxing classical music and aromatherapy. Walked away feeling pampered rather than stressed.

AWESOME experience every time! Dr. Taylor is kind caring and so professional. He takes time to discuss an appropriate dental plan with you. I love his holistic approach to dentistry which makes him unique. The receptionist Jaime is so welcoming to all that come in to the office. She is professional and caring as well.
