Dr. Taylor graduated from Captain Shreve High School before receiving his bachelor's degree at LSU Baton Rouge where he was on the Dean's list. He received his Dental Degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where he was also on the Dean's List. Taylor completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans before returning to join his father's practice in Shreveport.
Taylor is a member of the American Dental Association, Northwest Louisiana Dental Association, the River Bend Rotary Club, The Southern Hills Business Association, the Krewe of Gemini and the Independence Bowl Foundation. His practice includes a wide variety of services, such as, extractions, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canals and of course cleanings and examinations.
'Working with my father has been a blessing,' Taylor said. 'I enjoy the many different aspects of general dentistry and have enjoyed watching Shreveport and our practice grow and develop over the last several years. One nice aspect of dentistry is that you get to talk with so many different people every day.'
He is better known by his patients as 'Dr. Scott' to differentiate him from his father, Dr. Scott L. Taylor. Together they strive to provide the best possible service to their patients and the community they call home.

I had a root canal emergency and Dr. Taylor fit me in immediately. It was a difficult tooth to work on but Dr. Taylor stayed late and got the situation completely solved with a minImum of discomfort. He and his staff were very accommodating and I have had no further issues with my tooth. Highly recommend.

My hygienist was super sweet & friendly but the actual Dentist Dr. Taylor is rude. Did not want to answer any questions and pushed me off to the hygienist who did her best to assist. They aren't very welcoming but the front desk lady Ms. Suzanne was very nice. Dr. Taylor called off some stuff from my mouth and everytime I had a question he'd tell me someone else would answer it. He's super rude and I wish I would've just saved my time and money and went to another dental office

Yes I went to Dr Scott Taylor October 20th 2020, very very bad experience, bottom line is he will never touch my mouth again with anything, but Miss Suzanne,, the office manager, she's a wonderful lady, and the rest of the staff were great, but Dr Scott Taylor, he needs to end his career and they need to get a new dentist.

Scott Taylor was my childhood dentist. Mine and my families experience was so horrible that I am as an adult currently in therapy and have to be sedated to even go to the dentist. I can not judge who he is or how he practices today and it is my hope that he has learned and grown since then, but I was shocked when I discovered that he is still practicing.

He is the worst dentist I have ever been to. The staff lied to me about financing and the crowns he did were not fitted right and have to be redone. Do not use him he is a horrible dentist

I went to see Dr. Taylor back in 2010 and he performed a root canal on me. It's now 2018 and the tooth he did the root canal on is needing another root canal done. I'm in extreme pain and it's now going to cost me $1500 to fix his mistake. He is the worst dentist ever! The root canal he performed on me took him 5 minutes to complete. I'm not a dentist but I know that a serious procedure like a root canal takes longer than 5 minutes to complete. Don't let Dr. Taylor perform a root canal on you! Honestly, I wouldn't let him do any dental procedures on you unless you want to pay for his mistakes. STAY AWAY FROM DR SCOTT TAYLOR HE WILL MESS UP YOUR TEETH.
