Dr. Jett has been setting the highest standards of excellence in periodontics, gum surgery and dental implants for nearly ten years. With a practice emphasis on dental implants and periodontal surgery, he continues to be a leader in the Fresno area. He earned his undergraduate degree at Auburn University and his dental degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry before completing specialized post-graduate training in periodontics, as well as earning a Master of Science degree in bone physiology, from the Medical College of Georgia.
An esteemed member of the dental implant and periodontal community, Dr. Jett is a published author and an active member in many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontics, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fresno Madera Dental Society and the 3i Implant Innovations STP Study Club. In addition to organizing a local study club, Dr. Jett also lectures at the Fresno City School of Hygiene and has lectured at University Medical Center and for the Fresno Madera Dental Society.
Dr. Jett and his wife travel around the world extensively with Christian medical missions, most recently working in Nepal with under-served communities. In his spare time, he is an avid rock climber and a mountaineer who spends as much time in the High Sierras and Yosemite as possible.
Before returning home to Clovis, Dr. Newman has lived all over the country. She attended Duke University, where she was the Chair of the Honor Council. During her breaks, she was a surgical assistant for an oral surgeon, where she discovered an intense interest in dentistry. It combined two of her favorite things taking care of people and biology. After her time in North Carolina, she attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, from which she graduated with honors. She spent a year in a general practice residency at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh, which is where her love for root canals began!
Dr. Newman went on to complete her Endodontics residency at the University of Pittsburgh. During her time there, she continued to treat patients and teach residents at the VA Hospital, as well as complete cutting-edge research, which she presented twice to the American Association of Endodontists.
After her residency, she and her husband moved to Buffalo, New York, where she practiced for close to a decade before meeting Dr. Jett. It was clear to Dr. Jett right away that Dr. Newman would be a perfect fit for APEX, with her professional experience and California roots. It didnt take much for Dr. Jett to convince Dr. Newman to trade snowy winters for Fresno sunshine!
Dr. Newman is an extremely talented and experienced clinician. She strives to treat her patients with both precision and a friendly attitude, and she loves to share her love for root canals with others. Shes known for being caring, talkative, and having a true passion for her work. She is extremely accommodating and will always go out her way to help a patient in pain.
Outside of the office, Dr. Newman loves cooking, running, and spending time with her husband and their two little boys. Shes currently becoming an amazing LEGO builder and loves spending time outside.

I have been going to Dr. Jett for several years now for many extensive procedures! He is very kind and compassionate with his patients and above all extremely gentile! I trust him 100% with his quality dental care and highly recommend him without any hesitation! The staff is also very efficient and friendly even when you're experiencing the worst pain!!

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Jett and his staff. My first time visiting Dr. Jett for some very embarrassing dental problems. I am new to Fresno and relied on my dentist at Willow Dental for a referral. I am so thankful I was referred to Dr. Jett. From the moment you walk into his beautiful office, you are greeted by Shannon at the front desk. His front office staff sets the tone. Shannon was so warm, welcoming and kind. She fixed me a cup of coffee and made feel at ease. I was beyond nervous and scared. I was brought back to the room by the hygienist Ashley and she was just as warm and kind. Ashley explained what the course of my visit would entail in great detail. Then, Dr. Jett walked in... and the magic started. I admired that he started the visit by asking personal questions to get to know me. We immediately clicked. He was very professional, comforting and made feel confident that I was in the right place. Not once he made me feel ashamed or embarrassed for the reason of my visit. I left his office feeling better and confident he will take good care of me and get me back on the right track. Do not hesitate coming to see him. He is wonderful. I did not take any pictures because I was so terrified of my visit. But I will next time I see him.

I have my teeth cleaned with Ashley. And she is great. Dr. Jett always happy and says hi how you doing. Shannon behind the counter is very friendly and informative. Great place to go to have work done on your teeth.

The office is really clean and staffs are friendly. According to my daughter, she says that this is the coolest dentist she ever been to and best part of it is they have an espresso machine.

Dr Jett has been the best. I have had to have major work done, and he has done a great job with my teeth. He makes you feel at ease. Also, everyone in the office is so sweet. I have even recommended him to a friend.

Dr Jett and his staff are super nice and put my mind to ease right away. I had a gum graft done and even though I have hypersensitivity, it wasn't nearly as painful as I had anticipated. Dr Jett was very gentle and quick too! I'd advise anyone who needs periodontal work done to go to Dr. Jett and his awesome staff.

Gum surgery can be very intimidating to get into, the team at Dr. Jett's practice is knowledgeable yet down-to-earth, and provides superb care. I felt comfortable as their team kept me informed throughout the process -- really great group of people and skilled medical practitioners. Keep up the great work!
