Dr. Scott Nguyen graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry in 1995. He did his post-graduate fellowship in the National Health Service Corp for Public Health at Samuel U. Rodgers Community Health Clinic until 1998. Additional post-graduate training includes American Orthodontic Society, The Schuster Center for Professional Development, The Pankey Institute, The Dawson Academy for Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, Graduate of Advance Comprehensive Skills in CEREC CAD/CAM Technology, Training in fiber-optic Laser Dentistry of the Diode Laser and Bioesthetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the International Dental Implant Association and Crown Council. Certifications include but not limited to Invisalign Orthodontic Treatment and Tradition Orthodontic Treatment. In 2012 Dr. Nguyen became 1 of 300 dentists in the world to complete post graduate training in a fellowship residency in OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry (Advance Education and Treatment in TMJ, Occlusion, Cosmetic Dentistry and Sleep Apnea).
As a native of the the Kansas City Northland, Dr. Nguyen has dedicated himself and his team to contributing a high level of care to the surrounding community in which he grew up. Starting with his first practice in 1999, the team continues to grow and serve the community by applying the best technology and wellness techniques. Outside of the practice, he and his wife enjoy spending time with their family and friends.

I was so happy that I found Dr. Nguyen, because he and his staff always treated me warmly, just like family. Anyone that suffers from TMJ, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Scott Nguyen! I first started seeing Dr. Nguyen about 2.5 years ago, and had been suffering from TMJ. He provided me a 5-6 month treatment plan and then he has been working with me on my bite alignment for the past 1-2years. He guided me through each step of my treatment with such care and consideration. My chronic pain has been reduced 90% after my treatment! And I was very grateful that he listened to my concerns, and not only customized my treatment plan but he provided me with affordable options for treatment. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen and team!

I had no idea that going to the dentist doesn't have to be super anxiety-inducing. Lol, I figured that was just a normal part of the experience buuuut I guess I was wrong. I have only been in to see Dr. Nguyen three times now (twice for dental work, once for initial assessment) and he seems very knowledgeable, down to earth, and must have impeccable technique (also, topical benzocaine before injection is such a smart and HUGE patient courtesy!!!) because the numbing injections are no big deal - I was so scared of those! His explanations are patient and at the level I need to understand - which is something he really tries to accomplish. I feel like he doesn't want me to just let him take charge but rather wants to work together on my health. It has been such a different and much more pleasant experience for me so far - not that my previous dentists were bad but I don't think they were practicing with the same patient-centric and holistic considerations like Dr. Nguyen. The staff are pleasant, fun, and helpful. They've gotten me booked for appointments and into the chair efficiently. I enjoy interacting with them. I think my whole family will be coming out this way here shortly. Very impressed so far.

First-time patient. Entire staff is courteous and professional. Over three visits, I received a very thorough examination and sit-down consultation to provide me with the state of my mouth. Dr. Nguyen provided extensive assessments and recommendations but without any pressure to accept them. Equipment is state of the art. Best teeth cleaning I have received in a long time; the hygienist was friendly but very professional. Based on Dr. Nguyen's assessment of a cavity in the remnants of root canal and under a silver crown, he fixed the tooth on the 3d visit and replaced it with a 3D printed porcelain crown. He could have numbed me up but he explained it was not necessary; he was right and it saved me money. The crown fits perfectly, and I had it within two hours after arriving. Overall, 3 excellent visits. Price was fair. Looking forward to future visits. On 17 Aug 22, Dr. Nguyen filled a cavity detected on 10 Aug 22 on an annual x-ray. As usual, he and his team were very professional. He repaired the cavity and replaced an old silver filling for a very reasonable price. I did not have to wait. After the numbing was completed, he asked me to tell him if I experienced any pain; but the prep and procedure were painless. Overall, an excellent experience.

I've been to several Dentists over the years and this office by far is the best one ever. The best staff. I had my teeth cleaned today and she was so gentle and my teeth have never had this well of cleaning. All others you couldn't even tell they were cleaned. I gave them 5 stars but they deserve 10 or more stars.

Dr. Nguyen and his entire staff are so amazing. Every time my son and I walk through the door the front desk reps greet him by his first name with big smiles (never ask who he is or what time the appointment is, they just know) and I have heard them say hello to other patients by their first name when walking through the door. Something about that just makes you feel wanted and welcomed, my son is only 5 so it makes him feel more comfortable and less like he is in an "office". Dr. Nguyen and his lovely hygienist are so welcoming. Always smiling, giving high-fives and praising the growth and changes they are seeing. My son has a class 3 underbite... I took him in May and his front jaw has already expanded and has come up a few millimeters in just a few months of wearing his mouth guard. He is also sleeping much better throughout the night and I can tell his allergies aren't nearly as server... it's such a crazy difference in just a short amount of time!! So so so glad I ended up taking my son to see Dr. Nguyen and his cool crew! 5 stars in my book for sure!! Can't wait to see what the future holds and LOOKS like! :)
