Dr. Parkinson began his practice in Tremont in 1989 as a general dental practice, focusing on helping families achieve good dental health. Over the years he has noticed that a large number of people are still not going to the dentist out of fear of a needle or the whir of the drill, so Dr. Parkinson looked for equipment to get around this issue. It has been a long search, but he finally found a device that will greatly reduce the need for anesthesia and the sound of the drill. Also, during this search he attended many dental seminars that informed him of the growing need for cosmetic dentists, so while Dr. Parkinson will never abandon his philosophy about promoting good oral health for the whole family, he is expanding his knowledge in the area of cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Parkinson is a driven and hard working individual. He was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America at the early age of 14. Then he graduated from Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia in 1988 only six years after graduating high school instead of eight. He has completed many hours of continuing education every year since his graduation.

Put a filling in a place there is ABSOLUTELY no cavity. No wonder he was always going on expensive vacations with the family!!! I've been to three other dentists since that "filling" fell off my tooth, no one sees a cavity.

I had my a broken front tooth and he fixed it and it looks amazing. My daughter also had her teeth fixed for the first time, he was so amazing with her and talked her through everything. Kept asking how things felt if she was ok. He was very caring. Even his shelly that assisted him. Great place to go. Highly recommend.

Of all the blessings I have in my life, finding this dentist is in the top 10! I'm an absolute BABY when it comes to anything dental-related. Going to Dr. Parkinson I have absolutely ZERO anxiety getting cavities filled. EVERYONE is so nice there-and they play the best music. I truly enjoy going to the dentist. I've been going to him for several years now, and would never go anywhere else! Thank you, Dr. Parkinson and staff!

I had a great experience, The wait was not very long and as soon as I got there everyone was very nice. I got cavities fixed and didn't feel a thing. I highly recommend!

Dr Parkinson was a very caring individual. Always went out of his way to assist me through a tough root canal. He also made time to fit me in his busy schedule whenever I would call. I am only changing dentists because I drive 8 miles round trip instead of 32. He is a true professional.

Dr. Parkinson and his staff were wonderful! My 5 year old had a traumatizing experience at another dentist. He was terrified to get a cavity fixed. So we called Dr. Parkinson and his staff to help. They were able to get him in so fast. They were extremely patient with him! The cavity was fixed and I didn't have to take him to a dental surgeon. I'm so thankful and happy with the results. After the appointment my son said he is no longer afraid of the dentist. I HIGHLY recommend this office!

Dr. Parkinson is an excellent dentist! He's very thorough in explaining things to new patients and tells all of his patients what he's going to do throughout the appointment. He's always asking how you are and wants you to let him know when something is uncomfortable. He's a great doctor!

I really love the office staff and Dr Parkinson always takes the time to answer all questions. The laser is wonderful and makes getting fillings a pleasant experience. If you have dental anxiety, I would highly recommend this dental office.

Dr. Parkinson squeezed my 1.5 year old son into his busy schedule, to perform dental work on him that other dentists wouldn't even consider being bothered with without anesthesia due to his age. With a family history of adverse reactions to anesthesia, we did not want to go that route. Despite the difficulty of working on a child so young, Dr. Parkinson was confident that with the laser the work could be done in the office, without having to take the possible risks associated with anesthesia. The Americans Academy of Pediatric Dentists does not recommend anesthesia as the first route of treatment, instead recommends trying to fill the teeth while awake, and that is exactly the approach Dr. Parkinson will take. Dr. Parkinson listens to your concerns and does what he can to accommodate your needs, even if that means a challenge for him. He was also able to work on our other sons teeth at a very young age. If you have a young child needing dental work and the other dentists don't want to be bothered with the trouble of working on little ones without using anesthesia, give Dr. Parkinson a call and see what he can do!

I have been going to Dr. Parkinson for over 20 years. I have had zero negative issues with his service and now have entrusted he and his staff with my sons care. The laser dentistry he performs is second to none. I couldn't imagine my cavity repair without his laser due to my extremely sensitive teeth. Lastly his staff has been proven to be a true reflection of his management style, they are helpful and courteous on every visit. I've recommended his office to anyone in need and will continue to do so.
