Additionally, Dr. Novak believes strongly in education to prevent oral health problems before they occur.
He was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and attended Washington and Jefferson for his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. He pursued his graduate studies at Case Western School of Dental Medicine graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002. After graduation he worked in central Ohio prior to moving to Annapolis, Maryland. In 2018 Dr. Novak relocated to Preston, Maryland so that he may live in the community that he loves to serve.

Whitney graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College in Dental Hygiene in 2012. During her schooling she applied her skills at Dover Air Force Base. After graduation she began working part time with Dr. Novak, and shortly thereafter became a full time member with Midshore Dental. She loves to help people have a healthy smile and volunteers with Mission of Mercy. Whitney grew up in Milford, Delaware, where she still lives with her husband Kyle and dog Max. In her free time she loves anything DIY and putting her spin on old or vintage items and traveling.
Kimberly began her dental career in Salisbury in 2007 as an assistant and clinical floater. She quickly moved to the front where she found she could use her organization skills as well as her clinical background to promote healthy smiles. She briefly left dental in 2018, but felt the draw to return that same year and now plans never to leave! Kimberly enjoys time with family (including her 5 brothers!) and photography.
Stacy began her dental career as a hygienist in 2000 and most recently worked in community health. She loves to provide compassion in her work to help her patients achieve their best smile. Stacy was born and raised in Caroline County and now she currently resides in Seaford DE with her husband and children and loves to spend time with them camping and all other types of fun activities!

I have an Awesome experience and Dr. Novak and his staff was great to me. I tried to do this initial review at work and there's terrible reception even for my iPhone. I will be back with bells on-thank you all and you all Rock!!!!!!!

Everything about this office is TOP NOTCH!! I was unhappy at where I went before and chose this because the staff was so nice. Then I got there and the hygienist and Dr Novak were so great too. Can't wait to go back. I'm so happy to find a dentist that I trust and treat people so nicely.

I went in today for a cleaning and check up and had a great experience. I'm the type of person that is always nervous at the dentist, but all of the staff was so friendly they put me right at ease. They gave me the option to fill out paperwork via email before my appointment so I wouldn't be in the waiting room for so long, which I think is a great practice, especially in covid times. I also appreciate how they genuinely wanted to know what I wanted to accomplish with my visit and gave me all the information I needed without making me feel bad or pressured in any way. Definitely recommend this dentist office!

This office came highly recommended but after our latest experience, we will not be going back. We had been there fall 2020 and I was allowed to accompany my small child to the exam room, spring 2021 they tried to deny me to accompany my child who's only 6! They agreed only after I said we'd leave. The hygienist also ignored my request to skip the flouride treatment citing that our insurance will cover it. It wasn't about that! It was about personal preference. I am still livid.

I am so grateful to Jan Pfeifer for recommending Dr. Novak to me. Everyone in their office is extremely friendly and caring. Dr. Novak is incredibly knowledgeable about his profession, and patient with nervous patients like me. He takes his time explaining what he is going to do, and checks in with you along the way to see how you are doing. I recently had an emergency, and was in a lot of pain. He squeezed me in quickly, and took care of the problem. When necessary, he will refer you to the proper specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Scott Novak to anyone looking for a quality dentist in the area, or looking to make a change.

I have been going to Dr Novak for just a few short months. Had to get a tooth unexpectedly pulled yesterday and although I was super nervous and very emotional he did a great job! I only felt the expected and no pain at all. THANK YOU SO MUCH Dr. Novak. You have made my fear a little easier!!! I'd give him 10 stars if I could!

Dr. Novak and his entire team are outstanding! Everyone is very friendly, courteous and professional. We had just moved here and left a wonderful dental practice. I'm thrilled that our friends recommended Dr. Novak's office as they are just as wonderful!

I had some lingering tooth pain. Dr. Novak got me in the same day. He spent quite a bit of time reviewing my issues and was able to give me a diagnosis. Very pleased with the service received. Megan the hygienist was also very helpful.

The office staff was great, however I was told at the very beginning it would be $110 for the exam and X-ray. Was told when I left it was $115 and wasn't even given an explanation. I advised I needed a tooth pulled and they said no problem, quoted "no more then $360". After waiting for the doctor to come in he arrives and the only things he seemed interested in was my occupation. Took a 10 second look at my tooth and said oh I can do a route canal and possibly save it but it's gunna cost thousands. I simply asked to have it pulled and he then says "it's not something I'd be interested in doing." And I'm talking severe pain. Sends me on my way with a prescription of Motrin and antibiotics and says sorry have a good day. Thanks I just wasted $115 for them to tell me they didnt feel like doing the job. Complete waste of time and lied about everything upfront. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.
