Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.
I love the combination of art and science that is required to create healthy, beautiful smiles. Butwithout a doubt, my real joy as an orthodontist comes from the people I spend my days with: my team, which is my second family, and my patients and their families. I value each and all they bring to my days!
I especially love working with families and seeing the kids grow and mature. Its amazing to watch their passions in life develop, whether itinvolves sports, music, academics, drama, or robotics. I love witnessing this maturation and seeing them go off and do amazing things. I tend to follow people with their retainers longer than many of my colleagues, partly so I can see what they are up to in college, and evenpost-college!
Each patient is unique and deserving of an orthodontic experience that is unique to them. Whether I am seeing a seven-year-old for early treatment, straightening teeth for anolder sibling, or creating a smile for an adult who has waited years fortreatment, I am always thinking about what is right for that person.
It is important to design care that addresses both the persons appearance that wonderful smile they desire and delivers an improvement in their function and bite. I want people to finish with an incredible smile: a smile that is beautifully confident and healthy!
I attended the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry from 1990 to 1994, and graduatedwith my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. This was followed by a one-year residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital San Francisco, and a two-year, part-time residency in craniofacial anomalies (cleft lip and palate) at the University of California San Francisco. I saw patients as a general dentist during that time, as well.
In 1997, I decided to pursue my interest in orthodontics. Through the University of California San Francisco orthodontic specialty program, I completed my specialist in orthodontics and Master of Science in oral biology in 2000.
My team and I invest in continuing education. We want to provide patients with the most advanced, comfortable, and effective orthodontic treatment. By staying at the forefront of the latest research, techniques, and technology, we are able to incorporate the best into our practice.
