My dental education began in Taiwan, where I graduated at the top of my class fromKaohsiung Medical University School of Dentistry. I then received a scholarship to come to United States and became a post-doctoral fellow at theUniversity of Michiganbefore enrolling the orthodontic residency program and graduating with my Master of Science in Orthodontics.
Committed to staying in the forefront of orthodontic science, I attend numerous continuing education courses throughout the year. As a Diplomate of theAmerican Board of Orthodonticsand a member of theTexas Orthodontic Study Club, I am dedicated to continuing education and the pursuit of excellence in both the treatments I provide and the smiles my patients achieve. In 2019, I became the first and only Invisalign Top 1% Diamond Provider in Missouri City, Texas.
My wife, Jane, and I just moved to Missouri City after living in south Texas for eight years. Both of us love the warm hospitality of south Texas and enjoy the diversity and culture of the Sugar land and Missouri City communities. When not working, I enjoy fishing and traveling. I am also an avid sports fan, with a strong love for my Michigan Wolverines!
I am proud to be one of the only Ivy-League trained doctors practicing in the south Houston area. My formal education began at theUniversity of California Los Angeles, where I graduated magna cum laude and was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. With the support of the Deans scholarship, I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from theUniversity of Pennsylvania.
While in dental school, I received numerous scientific awards and was elected intoOmicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national dental honor society. I continued my post-doctorate dental education with an additional three-year residency in orthodontics at the Department of Orthodontics at theUniversity of Michigan, where I earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics.
I attend national orthodontic meetings and continuing education courses regularly to hear the top speakers teach the latest technologies, treatment methods, and ways to improve each patients experience. I want to learn what is the most advanced and best out there so my patients can receive the highest quality treatment. I am also board certified, an honor only 25% of all orthodontists receive.
As a testament to my dedication to patient care, I have been selected by patients, peers, and colleagues to be in the elite club of Americas Top Dentists for the past two consecutive years. Born in Taiwan, my family and I moved to California when I was 15 years old. While I recently moved to Missouri City with my husband, Scott, weve lived in south Texas for more than eight years. I started playing the piano when I was six years old and learned the violin when I was nine, so music has always been an important aspect of my life. In my spare time, I also enjoy traveling and enjoying good food. I am a member of theFort Bend Junior Service Leaguewhich is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, to developing the potential of women and to improving the Fort Bend community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
