Dr. Scott Ferguson majored in biochemistry at the University of Detroit. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Detroit Dental School, graduating in 1988. While he has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years, Dr. Ferguson regularly continues his education in the dental field through continuing education courses and seminars, as well as the Seattle Study Club and Port Huron Study Club. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Thumb District Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantology, American Sleep Apnea Association and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Ferguson was awarded a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and he has received advanced training for the treatment of sleep apnea. He strives to provide his patients with the best treatment possible in a friendly, relaxed and caring environment.
Dr. Zachary Smith graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. Four years later, he graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry to fulfill his lifelong goal of becoming a dentist.
Dr. Smith is not new to our practice. In fact, he has been a patient of Dr. Fergusons since he was 10 years old! Dr. Smith has been working with our team since 2018, and when he is not working, he loves spending time with his family. Dr. Smith and his wife, Alex, had an exciting year in 2021 with two new additions to their family: their son, Adrian James, who was born in September, and their Golden Retriever, Mabel.
It is a pleasure to have Dr. Smith on our team. He is very kind and has a calm demeanor, taking his time and putting patients at ease with whatever dental care they need. He always treats his patients as if they were his own family.

I HATE the dentist, usually. My dentist as a kid drilled before I was numb, and ever since? It'd been traumatizing. My wisdom teeth had been digging into my others for at least 8 years- I was so hell bent on avoiding them. I was recommended here by a friend, and it was literally the best dental experience of my life. I know, I know- my bar I set above was VERY low. But, I've seen a few other dentists since. And none of them have even close to the same atmosphere. I've had three appointments back to back the past two days- one for X-rays, one for an oral surgery at the chesterfield location to remove the mentioned teeth above, and they were able to squeeze me in today when my crown fell off of a tooth during the extraction of the others. I cannot stress how much I adore their staff. They've ensured I was comfortable with every piece of it and getting everything I needed without hesitation, despite not seeing me a day in their lives before yesterday.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Dr. Zach Smith is absolutely amazing, along with ALL staff I have ever come into contact with. So happy to find a dentist that I love and makes it a lot less scary going!

Dr.Zack is amazing, one of the best around ,gentle and observant, I've had 6 extractions and he by far was the best outcome. He pulled my last wisdom tooth that had a cavity straight to the nerve,didn't feel a thing,very impressed and I found my new dentist, let's not forget to mention its a family business, the staff is excellent and will help you through it without damaging your pocket five stars all day

This practice is the ONLY practice I will forever take my family to. They make you feel welcomed, and take good care of you. They are patient with children and make it a fun experience. I've had the best dental work done by this office. Both Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Smith are amazing at what they do and so gentle and kind.

My wife recently switched our family to this office and we couldn't be happier. The entire staff is super friendly. Making appointments is easy. I have a busy schedule. The work done is fantastic. They are reliable to bring me back at my appointed time and get me out in a reasonable period. It's nice to be able to trust an office with my teeth and my time!
