Dr. Scott Harris road to dentistry started with his father, Dr. Andy Harris, who himself was part of the dental profession with a career at the Montgomery VA. After a football accident that ended his sports career in his junior year at Trinity High school, Dr. Harris focused on working with his hands through painting and carpentry and discovered his eye for detail. He graduated Auburn University at Montgomery and continued his education at Alabama gaining his Master of Science and Public Health. His dental journey took shape, however, later after marrying the love of his life, Stacy Lyn Harris. She encouraged him to do what he always felt called to do, serve his hometown of Montgomery in the dental field. After 4 years of dental school, he graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1998 and established his practice. Dr. Harris has been married for 27 years and has 7 wonderful children. He loves his patients and wants to perfectly care for their dental needs. In his free time, you will find him spending time with family either cooking, fishing, hunting, or working on his land.
Dr. Forrest Harris grew up enjoying working with his hands and helping others. He spent a significant amount of his childhood in his dads office, helping with small tasks and assisting when the need arose. Dr. Forrest developed an interest in the dental field after seeing his father using his gifted hands to help others. He went to AUM from 2012-2016 with a major in Biology and graduated summa cum laude. From there, he worked toward earning his DMD at what is among the finest dental schools in the nation, and his father and grandfathers alma mater, UAB School of Dentistry. In 2020, after four years of education in Birmingham, Dr. Forrest earned his doctorate and returned to Montgomery, eager to make you smile. In his free time, Dr. Forrest enjoys serving the church, hunting, cooking, and restoring his older home. He also spends a lot of time with family.
Joey is a Montgomery native that started helping her family Dentist as her afterschool job. She is definitely a people person and quickly knew Dentistry could be a self fulfilling career. She now has over 25 years of experience in the Dental field. Joey loves her patients and loves to educate them on their Dental health. She is very passionate about exceptional customer service and patient needs. Joey is a mermaid at heart, so when her families not busy with school and sports, She, Husband, Adam and Son Fischer head to the Gulf Coast and spend time with family.
You will likely see Jasmine, a certified dental assistant, helping out in the operatory beside the doctors. She received her certification from the dental program at Auburn university in 2017. Her motto is, I love helping people overcome their fear of the dentist and making people pleased with their smile! She is a glowing newlywed as of August 29 and has beautiful little girl that keeps her busy! She enjoys taking care of her pups and watching Alabama football in her free time. ROLL TIDE!!
Halyn received her dental assisting certification from Central Alabama Dental Assisting School shortly before joining our team. Her friendly smile will likely be one of the first when you walk in. She primarily serves as the insurance office coordinator, but is also well trained at assisting should the need arise! I enjoy helping our patients feel comfortable in many areas of the office Halyn says. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two wonderful dogs, Sandy & Toddy.
Trisha, a native of South Texas, moved to Alabama from Oregon in 2015 to be closer to family. She has helped patients for over 10 years become more confident about improving their smile and we are excited to have her as part of the team. She and her husband have 2 sons and one daughter. When they arent working on their mini-farm, they love going camping, fishing, an taking trips to the beach.
Kelly began her great work at Scott Harris Family Dentistry as dental hygienist shortly after the doors opened in 1998. Kelly states, I enjoy getting to know my patients while making their smiles bright and beautiful and teaching them about good oral health care. She has an identical twin sister that is also a hygienist on our team! She is married with three children and enjoys camping, working out, and spending weekends at the lake with family.
Janett, a veteran in the dental field. She began assisting in 1974 and earned her dental hygiene license in 1986. I am happy to be a member of a team that aims to make your dental experience awesome she stated. Outside of dentistry, Janett has been married for 30 years and enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and occasionally hunting, and spending time with her family, painting, sewing, reading, and needlepointing. - John 3:16
Alison joined our team in 2015 as a dental hygienist that strives for nothing less than perfection. I love building relationships with my patients and keeping their smiles beautiful while maintaining good oral health Alison stated. A fun fact about Alison is she works alongside her identical twin sister, so if you think you see me in the office it could be my twin! On most weekends you can find Alison at her home away from home at beautiful Lake Martin with her husband, kids and granddaughter.

Dr. Harris runs a fine facility. All personnel are very friendly and extremely competent. If you are in need of a dental office, you can't go wrong with Dr. Harris' family dentistry office. I highly recommend them.

My dentist, Dr. Scott Harris, was booked, and I had a small emergency. Therefore, staff scheduled an appointment for me with Dr. Forrest. He was very attentive, polite, and offered a solution that was beneficial. Though Dr. Scott was booked, he walked by and saw me in the exam room. He actually came in, sat down, and asked what my issue was. I explained it to him, he supported Dr. Forrest's efforts, and I am feeling better. They also gave me enough Sensodyne to last a while. I have been a patient here for years due to the care and treatment I receive. Dr. Scott always has a laid back, friendly disposition. My hygienist is always engaging during my routine cleanings, and other staff are nice and helpful. On a side note, they also remodeled the office and have an adorable sink faucet in the restroom. I have never had a negative experience at this establishment.

I love Dr. Scott Harris and his team! They are very professional and do an excellent job. Dr. Harris is always available to solve any problem. I had two root canals done last year and he did an outstanding job on both! I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and Joey was so professional and nice. If you don't have a dentist you are pleased with, I highly recommend Dr. Scott Harris!

A friend of mine went on & on about her new dental office a few months ago; The time they took to thoroughly ensure her procedures/results were successful, so I decided to give them a try. I saw Dr. Harris, (the son), and he was an absolute doll, but my favorite thing about this dental office is my hygienist, Joey. She is my favorite hygienist thus far. Bubbly personality, experienced, a gentle technique, and above all, encouraging (vs critical), when offering oral healthcare suggestions/recommendations. Should you need a competent, respectable, honest dental office that will NOT oversell unnecessary services, I strongly suggest giving Harris Family Dentistry a call.
