Dr. Jessie Scott grew up in Hawarden, Iowa, and frequently visited Yankton as a child while on family vacations. She fell in love with the area and the people and ultimately decided to make this her permanent home. Dr. Scott attended Winona State University in Winona, MN for her undergraduate degree in biology. She then went on to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis to achieve her Doctor of Dental Science degree.
Dr. Scott is a current member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, and the South Dakota Dental Association. She is also Invisalign certified and certified to provide BOTOX Cosmetic.
'I chose dentistry to make a difference in people 's lives. Dentistry is about more than teeth. I love art and creating with my hands; dentistry allows me to do that. I love creating relationships with families in my community. It is the greatest compliment when a patient returns to trust me with their children or parents. I love helping people take charge of their health and educating them on their oral condition. Being a dentist allows me to make positive memories for my patients instead of the negative associations so many people have in their dental history.'
When she is away from the office, you can find Dr. Scott spending quality time with her husband Matt and her three children, Sean, Meagan, and Claire. She also enjoys hiking, running, travel, waterskiing, arts, crafts, baking, and watching her active kids grow.

Dr. Scott and her team were wonderful in handling an emergent and traumatic situation with my son when he got his teeth accidentally knocked out. Her professionalism shined while at the same time her calm demeanor and kindness helped to comfort both patient and mom! We were so pleased with how she handled our situation and with the follow up care she's provided. We would definitely recommend Scott Family Dentistry!

Dr scott is an amazing dentist! Me and my husband recently switched to her. She makes you feel very relaxed. Shes never quick to rush out of the room and makes sure you understand everything going on with your dental health. Shes very gentle when doing work on your mouth and makes sure you're as comfortable as can be. By far the best dental experience I've ever had! You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and tries to get to know you. Definitely a dentist you can trust with everything! Staff are also wonderful!! Very nice and reassuring. They always make you feel so welcome. So many great things about this place! Very happy we switched and made her our lifelong family dentist!

Thank you so much for being so thorough with your COVID-19 precautions. This is the only medical office I've visited that has been appropriately cautious and following CDC recommendations. It protects their patients and their staff responsibly. The staff has always been courteous, professional, and so kind. This visit was fantastic, as all my previous visits have been. 14/10 would recommend.

As being a New Patient as my old dentist had retired, I was truely made to feel right at home. My hygienist was so professional, friendly and truely cared about any concerns I had. I want to say thank you as I had no pain after my cleaning, as in my past experiences. My teeth feel amazing! Dr Jessie Scott is a compassionate, amazing dentist , straight up on what treatment was needed, explained the treatment in detail. The front office got me scheduled right away for crown prep. I highly recommend Scott Family Dentistry for your next dental needs. I will for surely share with my family & friends!! I'll be back in a couple weeks!!

Incredible!! Best ever!!! They focus on cleaning and not selling braces or cosmetic changes! They take their time and clean so that your mouth is not as sore as some dentists would make it when done. Best of all, during my cleaning, when asked questions, they gave me a chance to answer instead of asking right when my mouth was full of stuff. They don't lecture, but suggest friendly reminders and keep you informed through the whole process so you know exactly what areas are looking like in your mouth.
