Dr. Robert Scott has been providing dental care for 32 years at his general dental practice in Plum Boro, Pennsylvania. During this time, he has preserved and improved the dental health of people from the surrounding Pittsburgh area with a focus on friendly, comfortable, and gentle dentistry to individuals of all ages.
He was born and raised in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn Hills High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia Wesleyan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. In 1977, he graduated from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). He furthered his education by completing a one-year residency at Montifore Hospital in Pittsburgh with a special emphasis on oral surgery. Following his residency he worked for a few general dentists in the Pittsburgh area before deciding to open his own dental practice in Plum Boro. In addition to practicing dentistry at Scott Family Dental, he enjoys being a part-time clinic faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He is an active member of the East Suburban Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Jacqueline Scott grew up in Murrysville, Pennsylvania and graduated from Franklin Regional High School in 2004 where was a three sport athlete playing golf, basketball, and lacrosse. She graduated with honors from The Pennsylvania State University in 2008 with her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. During her high school and college years she spent a lot of time on the other side of the dental chair as a dental assistant for her father. This confirmed her interest in dentistry as well as her love for helping others especially in maintaining excellent oral health and healthy smiles!
She attended The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and graduated in May 2012 with her degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D). She was the 2012 recipient of the Quintennesce Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. Following graduation she completed a one-year general practice residency at the VA Pittsburgh Dental Clinic and received advanced training in multiple aspects of dentistry. She is excited to work alongside her father and looks forward to providing the same great friendly, comfortable, and gentle dental care! She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

The dentist can be a dread for most. My wife has been a patient for some time now so I decided to schedule an appt. for a checkup and cleaning. Very accommodating for appointments right out of the gate had me excited! Donna was my hygienist and i can honestly say she was thorough in her work and very informative for me as the patient. Dr Jacqueline had to perform a small filling for me the very next day and i did not feel a single ounce of pain. So very friendly and honest both times you don't feel like a number. If you're looking around for a dentist, just stop now and schedule an appointment. Keep up the great work. Cya yinz in 6 months!

This is a really nice dentist. My previous dentist left gaps in between my teeth from feelings and she refilled them in bueatifully. I been going here a while to know that this is a really good place. There is many other things they did for me but I don't think there is enough room to write . Please visit this place you will not regret it.

I highly recommend! My 7 year old son was experiencing a lot of discomfort with a cavity. I called my normal dentist on Thursday before Labor Day and they told me they were leaving the office in 30 minutes for the holiday weekend and I'd have to wait until Tuesday for an appointment. I then called Dr Jacqueline's office, which was also closing soon for the long holiday weekend. I explained my situation, but we were not an existing patient. They told me to come right over & within 30 minutes my son was in her chair having work done. Dr Jacqueline was extremely friendly and her entire staff made my son feel comfortable in a scary situation for a 7 year old. Needless to say, we have a new dentist!

The only reason I even gave them one star was because Google wouldn't let me not give any stars. I have never been more displeased with a place in my entire life. Last appointment I had Jaqueline rushed thru my appointment and procedures because she didn't want to run behind. The next day I had extreme pain and discomfort and upon calling them back the receptionist was not only rude but was clearly not listening to anything I said because she was telling the doctor wrong information. They brushed my pain and discomfort off and gave me antibiotics, which did nothing. Thankfully I was able to get in at another dentist, upon doing X-rays here I was told that the fillings I just had done at Scott family dental were done incorrectly and there is still decay under the teeth causing my discomfort and I now need a root canal. It is going to cost me over a thousand dollars to fix the mistakes made here and to get the work done that she neglected to do. I will never in my life reccomend Scott family dental to anyone, unless you want half the work done and want to pay thousands of dollars down the road to have someone more competent fix their mistakes.
