We happily offer home sleep apnea tests with equipment that is approved by most medical insurances. This is to measure your breathing and blood oxygen level. We may also measure your heart rate or other aspects of your body. This is often more accurate and comfortable for patients than going to a sleep center for testing.
We offer holistic dentistry, which can also be referred to as biological dentistry. This type of care means we only use safe, natural materials and procedures in our office. Dr. Scott Chandler and Dr. Geddes evaluate your overall, long-term health as part of your treatment care. We also refrain from substances that are toxic to the body, such as mercury in fillings and gutta-percha in root canal therapy. We also recommend Xylitol for stronger teeth and cavity prevention rather than fluoride.
Dr. Chandler has been dedicated to the field of dentistry since 2001 and is well-trained in natural dentistry. He is a member of the Holistic Dental Association and often works with well-known natural healers, such as Dr. Mark Lafferty in Park City, Utah.
Because metal expands and contracts with fluctuating temperatures, metal fillings also do. This means decay can grow in the spaces surrounding the filling. It has also been shown that over time, metal fillings have cracked teeth and leaked toxins as they break down. For this reason, we do not use any metals at our practice and offer zirconia dental implants as an alternative to titanium.
Biological dentistry in Park City, Utah, is a unique resource to those with and without compromised health. Unfortunately, too many people feel that dentistry is too expensive and fail to give their teeth the necessary care. For that reason, we aim to provide the most affordable and beneficial dentistry to our patients available.
We happily accept most insurance plans. If you dont have insurance, we can offer a Preferred Patient Discount plan. With that, you may qualify for a free HSA account to make budgeting for dental care easy and tax-free. Our office is focused on utilizing your insurance benefits as effectively as possible to get the most out of your coverage.
Our practice also works with CareCredit. This loan company offers different plan types that include no-interest loans and extended payment plans with no money down, no pre-payment penalty, and no annual fee. All payments are required to be made at the time of the patients procedure. Payments can be made with credit cards and those who choose to pay with cash or check (at least five days before the procedure) will receive a five percent billing adjustment.
Dr. Scott Chandler attended dental school at the University of Kentucky and has actively practiced dentistry since 2001. Dr. Chandler practiced for ten years in Idaho before he moved to Utah and founded his dental practice. He found his calling in biological dentistry and is one of very few holistic dentists in the state. He believes strongly in treating the whole person, not just the mouth, and focuses care on optimum wellness for his patients. Dr. Scott Chandler is a family man. As the father of eleven children, there is never a dull moment in his house. He greatly enjoys riding motorcycles and hunting with his children. Dr. Chandler also generously donates his time to charitable endeavors like being a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts and treating patients who might otherwise never have access to dental care at Community Health Connection. He also uses his skills to provide dental work to foreign missionaries through area churches.
Dr. Geddes graduated in 2006 from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with his Doctorate of Dental Science. He began practicing in Zanesville, OH as an associate before purchasing his own practice in 2008 in Wyoming. He owned, operated, fully digitized and expanded his Wyoming practice for 8 years, before moving his family to Idaho. His interest in Biological dentistry came after he purchased his own 3D x-ray machine and saw all the hidden infections present in his patients mouths. The body cannot heal itself if the mouth is out of balance and poor sleep is not improved. Dr. Geddes has implemented a screening system for sleep breathing disorders and has treated TMD, TMJ, Sleep Apnea, and orthodontic patients, as well as keeping up on all standard dental procedures. He and his family are very active in the outdoors. They love running, biking, horseback riding, backpacking, skiing, and hiking.

I had such a great experience at Summit View Biological Dentistry and Wellness. First off, all of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Second, the dentist and his assistant were awesome, they were gentle, and did a great job with my root canal removal. I love their holistic approach which aligns with my own values. I will continue to use them as my dentist going forward. It is worth the drive!!

When it comes to dentistry, there is a broad range of knowledge and expertise you find when sitting in the chair. Dr. Chandler is the best I have come across, and I've been to many good dentists. We now know that oral health (plaque, implants, wisdom teeth removal, bacterial infections, etc.) is closely connected to systemic total body health. My health practitioner referred me to Dr. Chandler with glowing reviews and now I understand why. Since incorrect dental treatment can be a root cause in so many diseases, I try not to cut corners in this area. I have had a metal implant replaced with a ceramic one, and had cavitation surgeries (first done by another local biological dentist) redone because they were not done correctly the first time. Given the research, I feel confident I have added years to my life, and higher quality ones at that. It's a privilege to go to a smart, steady, gentle, and integritable dentist. I feel better knowing that he uses the best tools, is trained by the Swiss Dental Society, and is a perfectionist with his work. Nothing but the best at this office.

This is cutting edge dentistry. During my procedure he and his staff made me feel right at home. I really enjoy talking with Dr. Chandler as I learn something new every time. He seems to be the kind of dentist that is always learning and expanding while still maintaining the fundamentals. That gives me so much comfort. I had a zoom consult with Dr. Geddes. It was a very informative presentation and he explained it very well. He was professional and very easy to talk to. I don't know if I'm going to do any of the services that they offer since it's too rich for my means. But I do recommend their service since I do believe in it. Maybe someday when I hit a pot of gold or lotto.

My husband and I are both so deeply grateful to Dr. Chandler and his wonderful loving staff. He and Leanne are two of the most kind and positive people you'll ever meet. Even though it's dental work I feel safe and comforted being in their office knowing I made the right decision and am in the best hands. Testimonial/Review: A couple of years ago I broke a tooth and went to a local dentist for the repair. It turned out that I had two cavities that the dentist filled and unfortunately in the process closed in infection. This led to a lot of pain in my jaw and head and as well I was experiencing pain in my heart, breasts and chest. One night while lying in bed it became clear that all the symptoms I was experiencing were related to the issues with my teeth. By the time I arrived in Dr. Chandler's office, after a referral from a friend, I was in pretty bad shape, and scared. Upon first entering the waiting room I felt the first signs of relief that only grew throughout the exam and consultation. When Dr. Chandler showed me an meridian chart connecting each tooth with an organ system, thus validating that my sense that my health issues were related to my teeth, I was completely committed to the treatment protocol he prescribed. Within the month Dr. Chandler, (with his assistant LeeAnn providing expert care by his side) treated me with crowns, fillings and surgery to close up all the holes where bacteria were leaking into my organs and laser treatment to clean up whatever bacteria were in my jaw. It took about six weeks afterwards for my physical symptoms to clear up and Dr. Chandler was there to reassure me anytime I'd call with a concern. I truly believe that Dr. Chandler may have saved my Life and that some of the healing I experienced occurred on an energetic level through his compassion and care.

What an amazing experience from my first call, my many follow up questions via email and phone, until I left the office with treatment complete. I would recommend Dr. Chandler and staff if you are local or coming from faraway places throughout the world. I was referred to Dr. Chandler for cavitation surgery. He took care of some other items found when he read my cone beam which included removed two flakes of amalgam that were left behind by a non-biological dentist over 6 years ago. This is going to sounds unbelievable but the night of my cavitation surgery a shoulder pain I've had for four months was gone. I distinctly remember it hurting when I closed the hatch of the rental car, I picked up the day before. And each day that passes a blemish/sore that has been on my forehead over nine months, the size of an eraser that the dermatologist claimed was none cancerous but would not go away is nearly gone 72 hours post-surgery. Thank you again, Dr. Chandler, Leanna and Gabby. I am forever grateful.

I had a severe infection in my face. I went to a dentist, endodontist, ER, they all told me not to wait on it, but that they couldn't help me because they didn't know where it was stemming from. Feeling my own mortality maybe really for the first time, I was introduced to Dr. Chandler as the solution (being dyer) and HE WAS! I had cavitation surgery with Dr. Scott Chandler and I would highly recommend him for this procedure. The whole experience was great - the initial inquiry, the Zoom consultation, the surgery, and the post-op care. Everything was smooth and I could not ask for anything more. His dental/office assistants were also great and were able to answer all of my little questions. It's only been two and a half weeks since surgery and I'm healing very well. I did not have to use any hard prescription drugs during recovery and did fine with only homeopathic treatments. Many of my chronic health issues are clearing up and I expect my health to only get better over time. If you are thinking about seeing a true biological dentist, then look no further than Dr. Chandler or his partner Dr. Geddes.
