I had my first filling at this practice for two cavities. I was anticipating the novocaine and drill to come out, but instead was introduced to their laser tool they use. I had ZERO pain during the procedure and needed no injections of novocaine. I was in and out in what seemed to be 20 minutes and my face wasn't numbed up for the next 3 hours. Easiest two fillings I've had in my entire life. Not planning on getting anymore cavities, but won't be so anxious if it's ever needed again!

Dr. Backer and the staff here are great! Always has me in and out quickly, explains all my options and the short and long term implications. They provide the latest technologies including a newly offered laser option, which requires no numbing and I felt no pain for a filling. I wont go anywhere else!

Ali did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. Kristen was very pleasant and very helpful with my billing questions. Dr. Backer did a thorough exam and did a great job of explaining issues he was concerned about. Highly recommend SGDC!

Carina was so helpful on the phone giving me advice. I have not had help like that from a dental clinic and I called over 30 places so thank you for being so kind. 10 out of 10 for there staff!

I've been a patient of Scotia Glenville Dental for about 30 years. I love the friendliness of the staff and the professionalism of the dentists. I've thought about switching as I move further away, but I enjoy going to this dental office so why risk changing.

Save your time and money from this place. Overall such a cold and unfriendly staff. To the dentistry - Learn how to treat patients with respect no matter what their health history is since that is very PRIVATE and SENSITIVE information you are dealing with. The fact that someone has to tell you this, is quite embarrassing since this business has been practicing for years. These dentists need a reminder of how to treat all patients with respect and equal opportunity if you want to be successful in the future.

This dental business is the most well run and pleasant facility of the half dozen dentists I've been to in forty years. The dentists are master of their skill, and nearly every hygienist has been gentle and skilled. The facility is super clean and decor beautiful. Interaction between Dr. Backer, and his staff, in my observations over the years, is professional, authoritative, kind and seasoned with good humor. Their performance reflects his careful training. They continuously update equipment and use cutting edge technology. I no longer have anxiety about dental appointments knowing I am in skilled hands.

Dr. Dan is the only reason I would give them this high of stars. He is fantastic and listens to his patients. I first met with Dr. Stess and that was a mistake. He spoke over me to his assistant and had her relay what he was saying to me. He also was rude to her and belittled her. I felt extremely uncomfortable for myself and her. He then made me feel like I was crazy when my filling was too high and I could feel it rubbing. Here comes Dr. Dan to save the day. He fixed the filling when I went in shortly after for a different procedure and all of his work has been excellent so far. I have also had issues with the woman who calls to make follow up appointments. She told me that they had to quote my insurance over something they already sent out. This made me think that I couldn't make the appointment I needed ASAP until after 6 weeks when they would hear back from the insurance. Again Dr. Dan fixed things. When I saw him next he said that she was wrong and I was able to get the appointment at my first availability since they already had the quote and it lasts a year. Since they no longer accept insurance the cost it too high for one great dentist and mediocre office staff. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Nice practice..got me in as a new patient with an urgent dental issue. Very organized, polite office staff and Covid/health precautions in place. Dr Rose and tech awesome... I've had a lot of dental work through the years and my dental situation is an uncomfortable topic for me, I get a bit anxious. Dr Rose Coluccio explained everything and helped me come up with a plan, and she was an awesome practitioner, direct, caring with a pain free extraction. Glad to have found a new DDS I trust.

Office got me in with an emergency. Saw Dr. Rose she is awesome. She informed me every step of the way and explained everything to me I thought that was great. She checked on me constantly to see if I was in any pain which I was not thank you Dr. Rose and your new assistant The staff at the desk was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Great staff and great visit all around. Thank you everyone!!!! Mary

Love this place been coming here since 2005 or 2006 maybe even before that. Very friendly staff always. And they do amazing work. Highly recommend them for any of your dental needs! Thank you guys!

I've been going to SGDC for about 15 years now. Doctor Backer and Doctor Osorio are both incredible, as is the rest of the team. They offer a quality, affordable, and consistent service each visit. Ally the Hygienest also does incredible work. She's very knowledgeable and passionate about her work and it shows. Ally always sends me away with a new dental tip so that I can improve my smile. Thanks Ally, you're the best! And Thanks SGDC!!

I've been a patient for quite some time now at Scotia Dental. My experience with Dr. Dan specifically has been very positive. He is respectful to his assistant and has a calm and easy demeanor that sets the tone of the appointment/room. Both he & his assistant took the time to answer any questions and didn't rush our appointment. Dental work isn't a service that everyone looks forward to but it's something we all need to have done. When my appointments do roll around I find comfort in confidently knowing that I am in good hands!
