Personal Approach At Schumacher Orthodontics every patient is a member of our family and we pride ourselves on getting to know everyone who comes into our office on a personal level. Dr. Schumacher prefers an intimate practice where he can give each patient his complete attention and thus provide the best orthodontic result possible.
Scheduling We offer flexible scheduling and have allowed time for our office to be open early one morning and late one evening every week in an effort to accommodate to the demanding schedules of today's families.
Focus on Health We work directly with your other professionals in the dental and medical community to ensure you receive the most comprehensive care possible. We constantly send updates to area dentists who have patients being treated in our clinic so that each member of the team can be utilized to make your treatment a success!
When you arrive at Schumacher Orthodontics, you'll find ample parking and plenty of places to sit in our reception room. We also have a game room with Nintendo Wii's and Sony Playstations where our patients can test their skills before they are seen. Parents can grab a complimentary cup of coffee or bottle of water while they wait. There is also a designated reception area where younger siblings can entertain themselves even if they are not quite ready for braces yet!
All digital office We utilize the latest digital imaging devices to minimize exposure to X-ray radiation and to provide parents and patients with a clearer understanding of treatment. Our Mac-based computer system allows us to quickly and efficiently access relevant information without the need for paper charts.
Lasers A soft tissue laser can be used to remove gum tissue overlying a tooth that has not yet erupted. In the past this would have caused a delay in treatment, but with laser dentistry the problem can be taken care of in just a few minutes. The tissues heal quickly without bleeding and best of all the procedure requires no injection!
Mini-implants These tiny little devices can be placed into the bone in certain situations as an adjunct to normal orthodontic treatment. Recent advances in mini-implants have allowed orthodontists to accomplish treatment that would otherwise have been impossible. Just like lasers, mini-implants can usually be used without the need for local anesthetic.

You can find me at the front desk helping with scheduling and answering phones. I can also assist you with insurance and financial questions. My favorite part about working at Schumacher Orthodontics is seeing all the patients. It's great to see the patients' smiles get bigger throughout treatment.
I am the Lead Clinical Assistant (LCA) at Schumacher Orthodontics and love seeing the transformation from before braces to after braces! I joined the Schumacher Orthodontics staff after receiving my Dental Hygiene Degree. I have throughly enjoyed being a part of an amazing office. Working on the clinical side of the office and completing various tasks in the lab are a few things you may find me doing on any given day. My favorite part of my job is helping create a smile that will last a lifetime!
This is my 7thyear as one of Dr Schumacher's assistants. I keep busy on the Clinical side of the office. When I am not assisting with adjustments, I am hard at work taking impressions and making retainers. If you're wondering why you have to wear those rubber bands, just ask me! Keeping your braces nice and clean helps makemy job look easy. My favorite part about my job is getting to know all of my patients as they go through treatment.
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets. One of the primary goals of Schumacher Orthodontics is to provide the highest quality of service at an affordable price.
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. However, the treatment fee is ultimately the responsibility of the patient. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
