Dr. Schumacher has been in practice for more than 14 years. As an experienced dental health professional, he loves helping patients achieve an improved sense of health and wellbeing. Being a prosthodontist also gives him the opportunity to express his artistic abilities through the areas of cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Prior to opening his Wakefield practice, he completed his undergraduate studies at Asbury College in Willmore, Kentucky. For dental training, he studied at both the University of Kentucky and the University of Michigan.
When hes not helping patients, Dr. Schumacher loves to be with his family. He and his wife have been married for more than 20 years and together they have one daughter and two boys. His interests include working out, hunting, traveling, and photography. Hes also a fan of the University of Michigans sports program, and he loves helping his children with school projects.
Dr. Rob Schumacher is both a skilled general dentist and a board certified prosthodontist. That means he has extensive training and experience designing, crafting, and placing all types of dental restorations and prosthetics in order to renew oral health. This goes beyond the visible portions of teeth, and also delves into how restored teeth interact with remaining natural dental structures. Board certification means Dr. Schumachers training meets the highest standards for prosthodontic treatment.

Dr.Schumaker is a leader in his field and explains the tradeoffs associated with your treatment plan. His staff ( shout outs to Marianne and Kaitlyn) are key parts of the team in communicating where you are versus the planned treatment plan.

I just had my first visit with Dr Schumacher and it was above and beyond any previous experience I've had at any dentist before and I'm closing in on 67 years old. Dr Schumacher gave me the most thorough exam and to the time to go over everything he was seeing with me and made it easy to understand . From the time I walked in Maryann at the front desk to Nikki who took my X-rays and Sonya who did my cleaning, I was completely blown away with their attention to detail. By far the best experience I've ever had at the dentist.

My experience with Dr.Schumacher and staff has been wonderful.Dr.Schumacher takes time to explain why and what he wants to do. He is sensitive to the fears you may have if any at the dentist and I can honestly say he is so very kind and patient. I would like to add that I have had 2 caps with fabulous results .It was hard leaving a practice I was with in Melrose for 30 years .My former dentist retired and I must say finding Dr .Schumacher was a great choice for me . 5 stars from me.

Dr Schumacher is very professional and takes his time with each patient to discuss your dental needs. I personally have sent SEVERAL people there over the last 5 years and everyone had told me how much they love the office. Maryann at the front desk is most helpful on the phone and in person. She has a great personality and her work ethics are top notch. Sonya the hygienist who I have personally know for a while is the best at her job. Her personality is bubbly and professional and she is very THROUGH!! Nikki the dentists right hand assistant is a doll. Personality great and makes you feel very comfortable in the dental chair. I highly recommend this office for all future patients to seek out. You won't be disappointed. You will love it there. My husband and I just had our dental visits and are totally pleased

Dr. Schumacher is the BEST dentist I have ever had. He is very conservative and never pushing any services or products. I trust his advice and recommend anyone to see him. He also is just a very nice caring man who cares about you as a person, way beyond your teeth. I never thought I would look forward to going to the dentist. He is also very gentle if you ever need a cavity, crown, or anything else :) I highly recommend Dr. Schumacher!

Schumacher Dental is the best I have been to in 40 years. Extremely friendly, professional, wonderful people who are knowledgable, caring and enjoyable. I actually look forward to my visits, even when under the drill. Actually my entire family is under their care. Thank you all for everything :)

He does great work on procedures you don't need. Thank God I got a second opinion and saved thousands of dollars as my teeth were fine. Get a second opinion!!!!!
