Dr. Schumacher is originally from Cincinnati Ohio and received the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship to attend The Ohio State University. He graduated with a Bachelor in Science in psychology in 1978 and then received his doctorate in dental science from the College of Dentistry in 1981.

In 1984 Dr. Schumacher began practicing in Columbus, Ohio at the same location that the practice is today. He is happily married to his wife Laurie. Outside of work he continues his lifelong enjoyment of golf and his newfound enjoyment of being a grandparent.

I began my career in general dentistry many years ago excited to help people maintain their oral health for a lifetime. Times, materials, expectations have changed, but I continue to treat each patient as I would wish to be treated; striving to deliver the best treatment value to each individual patient, based on their comfort level.

At Schumacher & Bauer, I stress education, prevention, and to empower our patients to keep their dental health needs to a minimum. When those needs arise, I handle them with kindness, compassion, precision, and stand behind the work that I do. We strive every day to provide a different, better dental experience.

Dr. Theodore (Ted) Bauer grew up in Ottawa, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was involved in numerous student organizations and student government associations at varying levels, including President of the Inter-Professional Council. Dr. Bauer was recommended to this practice by E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University.

Dr. Bauer is a member of the Capital City Dental Forum, the Columbus Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, the Dental Alumni Societyand the Ohio State University Alumni Association. He is an Eagle Scout, and currently serves on Ohio State Dental Board as an appointee of Governor John Kasich. Dr. Bauer is also a steering committee member for the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Dental Association Dental OPTIONS program. Dr. Bauer has traveled to Guatemala multiple times with the CRISP foundation to perform dental services for those in need. A lifelong buckeye fan, he is the son of two Ohio State alumni.

Dr. Bauer, his wife Kate, their two little boys Will and Nolan, and their dog Penny, live in Upper Arlington where they are gradually renovating and restoring their older home. When they arent taking care of Will and Nolan, walking Penny or working on the house, they like to spend their free time supporting local businesses, causes, and artists.

In my 15 years as a dental hygienist Ive learned to really appreciate my patients; their lives matter to me as much as their dental health. Im grateful they allow me to care for such an intricate part of them-their mouth!

Heather loves all things beautyincluding smiles! She worked as a cosmetologist for nine years before completing her degree in dental hygiene at Columbus State.She is happily married to her husband Randy and they have two sons. She spends most of free time as a spectator at her kids numerous sporting events. Shes become a self-appointed expert at football, baseball, and basketball! She also loves to bake or just eat baked goods!

As the great line from the movie Annie goes, Youre never fully dressed without a smile! My goal as a dental hygienist is to create a safe, comfortable atmosphere for my patients where I can help them explore and become confident with their smiles so they can show it off to the world!

Jake is a Columbus, Ohio native who went to Columbus State and then Ohio State to get his Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. He looks forward to helping his patients have a healthy and radiant smile while feeling comfortable and safe in his dental chair. In his spare time, he loves to travel and hang out with his niece and nephew who are the apples of his eye.

I love educating my patients on their oral health and helping them feel confident about their smile. Having the knowledge in both Dental Hygiene and EFDA allows me to provide patients with the most comprehensive care. Remember FLAWLESS not FLOSS-LESS.

Nadia is from New Lexington, Ohio. She moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. While pursuing her degree she obtained her certification in EFDA. In Nadias free time she enjoys coaching and playing volleyball, while also spending time with her family and friends.

Lozan graduated from Columbus State Community College fulfilling her dream of having a career in healthcare. Her dream is to help others with her chosen path of dental hygiene. She hopes to empower individuals of all backgrounds to take their dental care into their hands. When not wearing scrubs, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, traveling and with her bunny, Luna.

Paige is a Circleville, Ohio native, home of the Pumpkin Show! She graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from Columbus State Community College. She looks forward to creating meaningful and fulfilling relationships with her patients and prides herself on creating a positive experience for her patients and everyone around her!

Dr. Seuss once said, Teeth are always in style and thats my motto. Ive always loved talking about oral hygiene and showing people how to brush since I was young, and now I get to do it every day. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and to never leave unsatisfied.

Kristi was born and raised in the Buckeye State. After high school she moved to attend Colorado Mesa University and The Colorado School of Dental Assisting. Just recently she went back to school to continue her education and is now an Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary. She enjoys snowboarding, family time and being adventurous with her pup Mr. Max and boyfriend Ivan.

Tasha was born in Washington Court House and shortly moved to Columbus with her parents. She graduated from The South Western Career Academy where she obtained her certificate in dental assisting. She was an assistant for 7 years before continuing her education at Sinclair Community College to become an EFDA. Tasha enjoys shopping and doing makeup. But mostly she enjoys staying home with her husband Charles and their Yorkie Braxton.

I know what its like to have severe dental anxiety. I love being able to meet fearful patients where they are and be with them through their dental journey until they are smiling and looking forward to seeing me again!

Heather has worked as a dental assistant since 2006 and attended Columbus State Community College. In 2016 she received her sealant certificate from Ohio State and most recently received her surgical assisting certificate from the Midwest Implant Institute. She resides in Worthington with her husband and son along with their 2 cats and dog.
