Dr. Nate has over ten years of experience in the dental field and loves interacting with our patients. He is originally from Wabasha, MN and earned his BA from St. Scholastica, graduating cum laude and his DDS from the University of Minnesota. Nate married his lovely wife Jill, who is an RN at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. They have one beautiful daughter. Nate and Jill enjoy visiting wineries, gathering with friends, as well as camping and hiking in this beautiful area.
Dawn attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1994. Shehas been with us since 2004 and truly loves educating our patients on how to improve and maintain their oral health. Her smiles and laughter fill her workspace. To Dawn, every patient is special and captures her undivided attention. She gives more than 100% effort every single day. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that every patient experience is top notch.
Noelle joined our practice in 2020. She has worked as a Hygienist since 2003 after receiving her Dental Hygiene degree from Nomandale so we are fortunate to have another experienced member on our team. She loves getting to know each and every patient and what makes them unique.
Noelle and her husband Jesse moved to the Wabasha area after living in the Twin Cities for years. They enjoy small town living and getting to know the community of Wabasha. In her free time she enjoys walking along the beautiful riverfront with her black lab and four-wheeling in the summer months.
Lynn is a familiar face in our office who enjoys interacting with patients and doing her part to provide exceptional dental care. Lynn has been a licensed dental assistant since 1993 and really shines in the area of orthodontics.
Abby is a home grown and raised member of the Wabasha area who has worked in the dental field for over 12 years. She is married to Jason and is a mom to 3 great kids; Dylan, Jacob and Annalise; who all enjoy life on their hobby farm outside Kellogg. She enjoys spending time with her family, whether its swimming in their pool or going on Ranger rides with her clan. We are so fortunate to have Abby as part of our work family!
When Julie joined us in 2013, we knew she would fit right in with our team here at Schoen Family Dentistry because she truly appreciates the atmosphere of working in a small family practice, along with the view out her office window. Wabasha does splendid things decorating Heritage Park for the changing seasons.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Julie graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She says she loves both states and divides her time by working on the MN side of the river and living on the WI side. Make no mistake about it, she is a Packer fan!
On her days off, you can find Julie spending time with family, reading, baking, gardening and camping. Her young family is especially fond of the National Eagle Center in Wabasha as well as fishing/kayaking the backwaters of the Mississippi.
Janel has been working behind the scenes as our Bookkeeper for a while now and recently added Sterilization Technician to her job title. She is so much more than that. Janel is willing to lend a hand with anything and proves every day she is a real asset to the business. Her ability to provide support to anyone or everyone at the same time is a rare talent.
Janel enjoys the farm life with her family outside of Pepin, Wisconsin. She is married to Josh and has a young son named Jamison and a daughter, McKenna. She spends her free time outdoors playing volleyball, hunting and fishing. She also loves spending time in northern Wisconsin at the family cabin.
Amberlee is one-half of our new dynamic front desk duo! If you haven't been to the office in a while, you're sure to hear from her since she is a champion at reactivating patient accounts. She is very efficient and has put a shine on many of our internal systems and programs already. Kind and considerate with everyone coming and going from the office, her aim is to provide a pleasant dental experience.
Amberlee was born and raised in Rochester. She frequently visited extended family and camped here as a kid and loves the Wabasha community enough to now call it home. Amberlee loves to read, play volleyball and walk her two doggies - Stitch and Birdie whom she adopted through Paws and Claws.
Monica and her husband Eddie recently moved to Pepin after living near the Twin Cities for years. She enjoys spending time with her family and her German Shepherd. In her free time she likes motorcycling, reading and working on her hobby farm.
I was dreading going to the dentist being as I haven't been in about 8 years, and I know my mouth is not in great shape. As soon as I checked in I was taken to Dawn who did my cleaning and xrays. She is so friendly and informative! My initial experience with her took away a great deal of my anxiety. She brought in Dr. Schoen who confirmed that a problematic tooth of mine would have to be pulled, and he explained exactly why that tooth was having and causing issues, and how to get it out as painlessly as possible. I have never in my life been able to say that I am comfortable with and trust a dentist, until now. Getting dental work done is not my favorite activity, but at least now I can get my oral health taken care of without the anxiety and being treated like the next set of feet walking in and out of the door. DEFINITELY recommend!
