Schroepfer Family Dental

Schroepfer Family Dental - General dentist in Marinette, WI
3212 Cleveland Ave, Marinette, WI 54143

I get great personal reward for helping people achieve their smile success and maintain their overall health. I enjoy treating dental phobic and fearful patients and helping them overcome their dental anxiety and fear of the dentist. I also enjoy treating dental emergency patients and getting them out of pain.

In choosing the field of dentistry, I find that I am most passionate about the changes I am able to make in a persons life. When they walk into my practice, I sometimes see a shy person who doesnt open themselves up because they dont like their appearance. When they see their results at the end of treatment, I see what a difference I have made in their life, as if they just gained a whole new perspective and boost of confidence. It is a fulfilling experience that is hard to put in words.

I have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education since graduating from dental school in various disciplines such as pediatric/kids dentistry, extractions, root canals, implants, dentures/partials, cosmetics, sedation dentistry, and overal business practices. The knowledge and experience I gain is directly passed on to my patients and the practice, allowing me to provide the best care possible.

As a native of Marinette, I am grateful to servethe community in which I was raised. My free time is spent enjoying the great outdoors; depending on the weather, I can often be found fishing, hunting, boating, snowmobiling, camping, or downhill skiing.I also have a strong passion for health and fitness, and enjoy lifting weights, swimming, biking, running, and competing in triatholons.

I also feel it is important to donate my time with the United Way, helping less-fortunate children learn about their dental care and providing my time to them for dental work. I have worked on thousands of veterans and military personnel performing dental exams and treatment.

I have always felt that I was a natural-born caregiver, and the profession of dentistry has allowed me to care for many people. I find it rewarding, both personally and professionally, to relieve their discomfort, fix oral health problems, and improve their smile. I am most passionate about providing quality treatment to my patients and improving their overall quality of life through dentistry.

In the many years Ive been practicing, dental technology has changed dramatically. I gain knowledge of new techniques and the latest information on dental products available at many continuing education seminars, both locally and around the country. This helps me to keep my knowledge of dentistry sharp and to continue to provide quality dental care to my patients.

A native of Antigo, WI, I have lived, worked, and raised my family in Marinette for over 45 years. My wife, Connie, and I have two children, Brian, who has joined me in my dentalpractice, and Lindsey who is a dentist is Colorado. My time outside the office is spent enjoying the many outdoor activities available in beautiful Northeast Wisconsin. Some of my favorites include cross-country and downhill skiing, hunting, and fishing. I also participate in triathlons, so swimming and biking also take up some of my free time.

I am truly grateful to my community, and to show my appreciation, give back in any way I can. Most recently, this has been done through my church, Holy Family Parish, Donated Dental Services, and foreign child sponsorship.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice. We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.

Starting off I have anxiety due to past bad experiences at the dentist. I went in yesterday to get my teeth filled but prior to the appointment I have to take Lorazepam to help calm me down as well. I was going fine and I was feeling like. I went in and they put me on laughing gas. still doing fine and feeling fine, although no one communicated anything with me. I was scared, I felt as though since they see l am so anxious maybe they'll try to remind me things will be okay. They did not. So fast forward while they were going my fillings, Dr. Schroepfer began to rest his hand on my laughing gas mask and kept moving it to the point I could not breathe. I was sobbing, terrified, I let out a scream cry and he literally started yelling at me. Saying things like, "you're fine", "we aren't even doing anything to you, stop crying" "get it together so we can all go home" ext. I was scared. I felt violated. How can you see me like this and don't bat an eye to think maybe I actually felt like I couldn't breathe? Instead of assuming since I have anxiety I was being "dramatic". He told me I could t breathe out of my mouth because I was fogging his glasses yet wouldn't listen when I could not breathe through my nose. I was scared, traumatized, and violated. No patient should ever be treated the way I was. Today is the day after and I still feel all these emotions. I am traumatized.

As a new patient, I was treated like family. They explained what was going on, and what they were planning, in great detail. And in very clear terms, we could understand. I made the right choice in my new dentist
