I have been married to my wife, Janet, for41 years. We have three sons of whom we are very proud. Luke is a Johns Hopkins graduate and an All-American swimmer, with an MBA from Stanford University. He isPrincipalinGryphon Investors, a private equity firm in San Francisco, CA. He is married to Dr. Nikki Schroeder and they have one daughter, Cassie. Matt is a graduate of Colgate University and the University of Maryland Dental School and recently joined me at Schroeder Family Dentistry. He is married to Katie and they have twin boys, Aaron and Zac. Hans is a graduate of Toccoa Falls College in Georgia andworks for Menlo Logistics in Carlisle, PA. He is also a teacher and director at the Gettysburg Community Theater He is married to Renea and they have one son, Parker, My four grandchildrenare theobject of so much of my love and attention.

Ienjoy playing golf, photography, reading, working on the computer, gardening, and working on my house. I am an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, PA where I sing in the church choir. I also sing bass in a 30 voice choir associated with the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminaryand the Music Gettysburg Community Concert Series (Schola Cantorum).In addition, I amon the Board of Directors of the Gettysburg Community Theater.

I am dedicated to the success of my community and work with several organizations that provide dental care to those in need. I have been the school dentist for the Upper Adams School District for almost 30 years, have participatedin a Missionary Dental Journey through Living Water Missions in Guatemala, andwas a volunteerwith the Adams County Headstart Clinic and the National Online Smileline through the AGD.

Dentistry is both a science and an art, and I find joy in both aspects of this field. As a doctor, I find fulfillment in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, relieving patients of pain, and helping them to achieve greater personal health. While I highly value these services, the greatest service which I can provide a patient is to educate him or her on what they can do to have optimal oral health and improve their quality of life. I take great pride in the ability to provide dental care that is both functional and aesthetic.

I have a personal desire to improve my skills and have a dental practice that offers the highest quality care available to the members of our wonderful community. As an active member of PEAK, the Academy of General Dentistry Mastership Track Continuing Education Program, I am working toward obtaining fellowship and mastership in this prestigious organization. It represents my dedication to an elite level of education within the dental profession and the assurance of superior quality and cutting-edge dental care.

My involvement in numerous professional organizations helps me to foster relationships, increase communication, and share knowledge of the most current techniques being employed in many dental specialties.

As a native of Biglerville and a graduate of Biglerville High School, I am happy to have returned home to join my fathers practice. I am married to my wonderful wife, Katie Ann Schroeder, an artist who works in oil on canvas.Katie and I have twin sons, Aaron and Zac who are two years old. We also have twocats,Bala and Sasha. I enjoy all types of outdoor activities in my free time. Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, cycling the scenic rural roadways of Adams County, playing soccer, alpine skiing, and backpacking are just a few of my favorites. I also enjoy home renovation projects, and make custom furniture. I love trying new things and feel most fulfilled when I am learning something new. I am a very detail oriented person and try to excel at all things in which I am involved.

Cherie is a graduate of Hanover High School and the hygiene program at the Harrisburg Area Community College from which she received her Registered Dental Hygienist degree. She has enjoyed working in various dental practices in the Hanover/Gettysburg area since 1994. Cherie has worked in Dr. Schroeders practice since 2005. She has a smile for everyone and is highly appreciated by her patients.

Janet is the business manager and an integral part of our office although she works from the doctor's home office. She is an honors graduate of Gettysburg College and is a former elementary school teacher. She is president of the Upper Adams School Board and the busy mother of three sonsand grandmother of three grandsons and a granddaughter. She also sings in her church choir and in the Schola Cantorum of theGettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary. She is a past president of the Adams County American Heart Association.

Jenny is a graduate of Gettysburg High School. She has a degree in dental assisting from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina. Jenny worked as a mental health worker at a local home for troubled youth and joined our office in 2006. Patients appreciate her compassion and tenderness. Jenny is happily married and has two children.

Kathy is a native of Adams County and graduated from Biglerville High School. She attended Allegany Community College where she received her Registered Dental Hygienist degree. Kathy has been in practice and a member of Dr. Schroeders team since 1981. She is very skilled as a hygienist and is appreciated by patients for her gentleness and thoroughness. Kathy is married and has two grown children.

Rose is a native of central Pennsylvania and graduated from the Bermudian High School. She has been a resident of Biglerville for 33 years and ran a day care program in her home while her children were young. Dr. Schroeder hired her as a dental assistant in 1986. She is well known to our patients for her loving and efficient service. Rose is married and has two grown sons. She is very active in her church.

Tricia graduated from Bishop Hannan High School in 1982. She then went to cosmetology school and worked in various capacities in the business world. Tricia has been working in the dental field for about eight years where she worked as a dental assistant, a hygiene assistant, and receptionist. She now puts her knowledge of business and dentistry to work in helping our patients afford the dentistry they need and deserve. Trish is happily married, has four children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Matthew Schroeder grew up here and has been involved in numerous community activities and sports. It has been amazing to see the changes in the past 30 plus years.
