Dr. Kara Schreder is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the St. Clair Dental Society. She has an outstanding relationship with local dentists and specialists in the area. Her collaboration with these colleagues enables her to accept referrals from them and make referrals to them on special cases.
Dr. Kara Schreder specializes in Restorative procedures, such as fillings,crowns and bridges,implant supported crowns,dentures and partials. She also offers three optionalwhitening techniques for patients that are interested.
Dr. Schreder was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois. She received her bachelors in Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, Illinois. She practiced in O'Fallon, Illinois for 12 years before opening her own practice in Swansea.
Kara is known for the way she treats her patients. She believes in making your visits as stress free as possible. Her patients enjoy the one on one interaction with Dr. Kara and her entire staff. It is not unusual to even hear laughter in our office! Patients are 'family' at Schreder Family Dental. She has worked hard to assemble the best team possible to provide the most optimal care to her patients.
Jessicagraduated from Advanced Dental Careers in 2012. Before joining the Schreder Family Dental Team she had the opportunity to experience all facets of a dental office. She found her forte as a Dental Assistant. Jessica's experience enabled her to be a master at the art of multi-tasking! Youmay see her assisting Dr. Schreder, catching up in the lab or helpingat the front desk. Jessica excels at making patients feel comfortable and is an integral part of our team!
Nicole graduated from John A. Logan Dental Hygiene School in Carterville, ILin 2011. Nicole also graduated from Nursing School in 2020and received her Botox certification in 2021.Nicole thoroughly enjoys the one on one time she spends with patients. Her attention to detailis one of the reasons she is a top notch dental hygienist. Nicole's advanced skills makes her another integral part of our team!
Jamie is also an integral part of our team at Schreder Family Dental! Jamie graduatedfrom Lewis and Clark Community CollegeDental Hygiene Program in 1999.She brings a spark of enthusiasm to the office each and every day. Her extreme attention to detail is what makes her an excellent hygienist. Jamie's gentle touch and knowledge istruly valued by her patients.

My dentist recently retired after forty years, so I found my way to Schreder Family Dental. I am very happy with my experience.....beautiful facility and all of the staff were sweet, organized, and professional. I had Nicole as my hygienist and she EXCELLENT!!! Dr. Schreder is an expert in her dentistry ~ so happy to have found my new dentist and her warm staff.

I became a patient at Schreder Family Dental in June of 2021. I went to begin maintenance care, and most specifically for a bridge repair/replacement. I must admit things didn't get off to a good start at all. My family and friends were encouraging me to seek alternative care and other actions. However, I had received a referral by a colleague that this practice was great, and after meeting Kara Schreder, my intuition was pulling at me, and somehow I just knew that she and her staff were going to do everything possible to make things right again; and so I continued with the procedure. I met with Dr. Schreder to discuss a plan of action, and assurance. Let me tell you! Kara and her girls were professional, transparent, and so accommodating. They worked hard to be attentive to my needs, always listening, friendly, caring, helpful, professional, and cautious through the entire one year process. Just over a week ago we finished the final procedure, and I now have beautiful, perfect bridgework, that matches and fits perfectly. Dr. Schreder quite literally saved my smile! I highly recommend this practice! Kara, Jess, Leah, Jamie, Nicole....ALL of the staff! You are all my sweethearts. I appreciate all of your efforts and care through this past year. Continue to be AMAZING!

I love this dental office the staff is extremely friendly and always welcoming. Dr. schreder is by far the most gentle and kind dentist iv ever been seen by. When she is doing her exam it's like a composer conducting an orchestra so smoth and steady. I would recommend her to any one who is looking for a family dentist.

This entire dental office is amazing from booking an appointment to cleaning your teeth to work on your teeth a safe wonderful place to take your family. Clean professional and kind. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot also.

Very pleased with my visit. Not one thing about the office was disappointing, staff was wonderful. Everything was detailed and I felt very comfortable from the time I walked into the building. The dentist Dr. Kara Schreder, was kind and gentle. She took time to explain and help me feel comfortable in what was happening next through the whole process of getting my teeth done. And Nicole was absolutely a doll. Thank you for such a great experience.

First dental cleaning in over a year due to Covid; However, i felt extremely safe with the safety measures the entire office took! Extremely professional, kind, and patient-centered staff is what sets Dr. Schreder's practice apart from other practices. If you want pearly white teeth, this is the place to go!
