When we have the chance to see your child around age 7 we can treat at the correct time. We would rather see a patient 5 years too early than 1 day too late! Teeth that are not erupting properly can lead to many problems that are easily corrected when diagnosed early.

When early treatment is required the goal is always to get your child back to a normal course of growth, development, and tooth eruption. Early monitoring not only prevents additional procedures later but also increases the chance that tooth extractions will not be required.

We use the mostscientificallyadvanced wires, brackets, and materials. Our NITi wires allow for 6-8 week intervals. This saves time away from work and school. Our digital X-Rays mean substantially reduced radiation to the patient.

Dr. Schmitt received his bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Iowa (He also met his wife there!), his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Iowa College of Dentistry, and his Masters of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

I have worked in orthodontics for over 20 years.I love meeting new people and especially getting to know each of our patients and their families.I strive to meet the individual needs of each of our patients from the moment they walk in our office.Outside the office, I enjoy working with the children and youth at Central Baptist Church along with spending time with my husband and two children.

I believe patient care should always be delivered with a smile.I have been a Dental Assistant since 2010.After working in general dentistry for five years I made the transition into the orthodontic field.What I enjoy most about being an orthodontic assistant is getting to interact with each one of our patients.But most rewarding is watching each patient progress in their treatment to meet their end goal, a beautiful smile.On days off and down time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our bulldog, Diesel.
