Dr. George Schmidt has practiced in the Hanover Township New Jersey area since 1998. A New Jersey native, Dr. Schmidt attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. He received his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
While in graduate school, Dr. Schmidt received numerous academic and patient care awards. In addition, he was inducted into the prestigious OKU dental society, which admits only a select few graduates from each dental school. Those admitted must be at or near the top of their class and meet stringent admission requirements. In addition, Dr. Schmidt served as class president and was later elected to the position of president of the entire student body, which numbered over 400.
As a post graduate Dr. Schmidt completed a three year continuum in the surgical placement of dental implants at the NYU College of Dentistry where he currently teaches as a Clinical Assistant Professor. While at NYU his studies included advanced bone grafting techniques as well as state of the art computer guided implant surgery. He has been awarded fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Dental Implant Association.
He regularly attends continuing education seminars Nationally as well as being a member of various local study groups. Dr. Schmidt has completed well over a thousand hours of post graduate education in fields such as Implant dentistry, root canal therapy, oral surgery, TMJ therapy, gum diseases, cosmetic and esthetic dentistry, and orthodontics, to name a few.
Dr. Schmidt resides in Morris County with his wife and children. His hobbies include cooking, teaching, reading, and traveling. He has been active in the community coaching sports including hockey, soccer, and football. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Tri-County Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The international Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Dental Implant Association.

When my regular dentist retired, I asked various people whom to use and, invariably, the answer came up Drs. Schmidt. The transition has been seamless. The entire staff is friendly, personable, and professional. You feel like you are a member of the family as soon as you walk in.

I would like to take this time to personal thank Dr. George and Dr. Brandon, Carol (who is the best administrator I have ever had....she's perfect. I would also like to thank Robin for always making me so relaxed. Dr. George did a great job on my caps and Dr. B helped my husband with a filling right before he went out of the country! Also, both doctors helped my son with a health care day by educating him; a little!!! Oh, the decor of their office is up to speed.....Dr. Schmidt's wife did it and she is terrifice too.

I recently had two crowns replaced by Dr. George Schmidt, any my husband had extensive work done by Dr. Brandon Schmidt, as well as our regular cleaning. As always the entire staff is friendly, professional and do a great job. We recommend Dr. Schmidt and staff whenever asked.

Have been going to Dr. Schmidt for many years, couldn't ask for a better dentist! I have on occasion called in the morning with a problem and Carol has always been able to get me in the same day! She and the entire staff are always so friendly and professional, highly recommended, you won't be disappointed!!

Lucky that Dr. Schmidt's office is near me . The crown work that I needed done cost less than what my former dentist would have charged, and the doctor & staff made sure I was as comfortable as possible during the procedure.

I've been a patient since about 1979, still am - wouldn't have it any other way. It's like family there. Staff is very warm, professional and very friendly and have your best interest at heart. Wishing Dr. Schmidt and his staff the very best!
