What I love the most about being an orthodontist is that I get to be a part of my patients lives and see their smile and image transform. I take pride in providing each of my patients with the utmost care and attention throughout the course of treatment. Education Dr. Schmidl has been in the orthodontic field since 2004. After graduating as valedictorian of her high school, Dr. Schmidl went on to receive her Bachelors degree in Neuroscience and Biology from the University of California, Riverside. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where she graduated third in her class. In pursuit of excellence, she chose Loma Linda University for her orthodontic residency, earning a Specialist Certificate & Masters degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Only six dentists were selected for Dr. Schmidls residency program.

Board Certification Dr Schmidl has earned the highest possible qualification for an orthodontist by becoming a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is continually advancing her knowledge and expertise in the field of orthodontics by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars. She has extensive experience in conventional orthodontics as well as newer methods such as Invisalign, temporary anchorage devices, surgical orthodontics, and jaw correctors such as expanders and Herbst appliances. Dr. Schmidl approaches being an orthodontist the same way she approaches everything in lifewith passion and determination, while having lots of fun along the way!

Personal Life Dr. Schmidl was born in Vietnam and grew up in southern California. She and her husband, Joe, and their 2 kids Quinn and August, are so happy to have relocated to the wonderful Rogue Valley. Away from the office, Dr. Schmidl enjoys hiking, traveling, playing tennis, watching superhero movies, eating desserts, and playing board games with family and friends.

We also know how scary it can be to go to the dentist and orthodontist. Many people fear coming in, so we do everything that we can to provide a calm and comfortable environment. Our staff is great at what they do. They are here to discuss any of your concerns and put you at ease.

There is also nothing worse than feeling like you are not able to discuss your teeth with your orthodontist. We dont want you to feel that way, so we are all here to help answer any questions you may have, no matter how silly you think they are. We can assure you that we have heard most of them already!

Donna has been in the orthodontic field since 1983, working in both the administrative and clinical areas of the orthodontic practice. She has been the Business Manager and Treatment Coordinator for the practice since 1995. She holds a degree in business and a love of life and people. Her great sense of humor helps her relate with patients and co-workers. Outside of work Donna enjoys sports, working with animals and is very active in her church.

Bri joined the Schmidl Orthodontics Team mid 2020, as the new Patient Coordinator. Bris favorite part of working for Schmidl Orthodontics is seeing patients confidence grow along them. When Bri is not in the office it is most likely that you will find her eating, hiking, jogging or camping.

Celia joined the Schmidl Orthodontics team in 2016, with four years of prior dental experience, she has taken her knowledge to the next level in the orthodontic world. Celia has an EFODA license, which allows her to perform additional functions in assisting our patients. Her calm, cool, and collected demeanor brings comfort to our patients. Celia has a big caring heart and wants to be sure each of her patients have a wonderful experience every time they come in. When she is out of the office, youll find her enjoying time with her family. She is fond of quad riding during the summer and skiing in the winter. Hablo Espanol y aqui estoy para ayudarle.

Sharon has been working at Schmidl Orthodontics since July 2018. She has been interested in the dental field ever since she had braces herself. Sharon really enjoys working in orthodontics, particularly getting to see how happy her patients are to have a beautiful smile once their treatments are complete. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, swimming, eating, dancing, and singing karaoke.

Anna joined Schmidl Orthodontics in December of 2019 after working in the dental field for 6 years. She started in general dentistry but fell in love with orthodontics and wants to spend the rest of her career in this specialty. Anna recently moved to Medford from Indiana along with her husband and they are excited to call Oregon their home. They like to spend their free time exploring this beautiful state. They go hiking, kayaking, and love taking their dog Shadow on many walks. Anna is excited to be a part of the amazing team here at Schmidl Orthodontics!

Abby joined the Schmidl Orthodontics Team at the start of 2020. She graduated from RCC with a 4.0 GPA in the Dental Assisting Program and has obtained her EFDA and EFODA licenses. Her goal is to create a friendly and supportive connection with each and every patient. She is motivated to give the best and most comfortable care possible. Abby enjoys photography, traveling, skiing, and flying around the Rogue Valley during her time away from the office.

Monica joined the team in the spring of 2021. She is originally from Argentina but grew up in Bolivia. She graduated as a dentist with previous studies in prosthodontics in Bolivia and Chile. After moving to the US in 2012, she wasnt able to practice the clinical aspect of the profession, so she spent 6 years working with an international nonprofit health organization based in Portland coordinating healthcare projects and deploying medical teams. This allowed me to provide preventive healthcare services and education in unserved populations in several countries that brought to my life a new vision of dentistry and treatment needs in relation to the context in which people live. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new places, and having other fun adventures with her family

Alex joined the Schmidl Orthodontics Team in mid-2021. She spent the last 6 years in the medical field and decided to make the transition into orthodontics! She loves to see the confidence and growth each patient experiences differently. In her spare time youll find her reading a great book, hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking or spending time with her family and close-knit group of friends. She looks forward to greeting you every day!

Michelle grew up in Medford and is a native southern Oregonian. She loves the area for its beauty and outdoor activities. Michelle has been in the dental field since 2007, working in both administrative and clinical areas of general dentistry. She loves dentistry because as we improve the health of the patients mouth, we improve their overall health. Michelle is excited to learn everything about orthodontics. Michelle treasures building relationships with patients and seeing the transformations in their mouth and how that carries over to their self confidence. When not in the office you will find Michelle cooking, hiking, wine tasting, and camping.
