We first want patients to know weve taken precautionary measures and installed installed AIRsteril air purification stations throughout our entire dental facility. These stations eliminate 98% of viruses and bacteria to ensure optimal air safety. Our waiting area is beautiful and modern, has distance-seating, wall-mounted hand sanitizer units, and a 40x30 acrylic barrier at our reception desk.

Our treatment approach has the same effect - a clinical team in accord with patient diagnoses and goals, and expert attention to the intricacies of dental health, art, and final results. I truly enjoy dentistry as a profession and come from a family full of dentists, including my father, daughter, and several cousins. Before moving to Sarasota, I practiced in New York as a successful general and cosmetic dentist. With my new team here in Sarasota, we continue the practice of general and cosmetic dentistry, but with special interest in facial esthetics and the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
We constructed a new state of the art facility adjacent to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. We are very excited to provide our patients with the highest level of care, but with special attention to their particular desires in treatment options.
Highlights of my career include several honorary fellowships as nominated by my peers. I am a co-author of the book Quality Measurement in Dentistry, a publication which continues to evolve under new authors and leadership. I was the Chairman of Education for the Dental Quality Alliance which sponsored the development of this publication. I was a Council member of the American Dental Association for four years, and served on multiple committees. But most of all, I have enjoyed providing care to all of my patients and look forward to serving you!
I am a dental assistant with specialized training in expanded functions. I received my education and certificate from Concorde Career Institute in Tampa, Florida. I have worked as a dental assistant for 20 years. I am married and have three great kids! I enjoy spending time with my family and our rescue dog, Caesar. One of the things I like best about working with Dr. Schirmer, Anita, Carol Ann, and Natalie is the calm and tranquil environment we have at Schirmer Dentistry.
Born in Ohio, I am a Buckeye fan. I studied Business Administration at OSU and enjoyed many football seasons with my family and friends. Later in life I grew weary of the winters and yearned for a warmer climate. My husband and I decided if we were going to live in Florida, then Sarasota was the place to be. Upon our arrival, we discovered the area was abound with many opportunities. Having always worked in dentistry, I joined Dr. Schirmer and his team, a team I thoroughly enjoy.
Carole brings to you experience as a traditional hygienist but with the added flexibility to offer you our unique AIRFLOW cleaning system! You can use her system of traditional hand-scale, AIRFLOW, or a combination of both! She is very excited to meet you and maintain your dental routine.
I moved to Sarasota nine years ago. I joined Dr. Schirmer in 2017 as clinical support, and I also oversee marketing outreach for our practice. Im grateful to join an enthusiastic team that utilizes our individual talents, creating a fantastic place to work and an ability to provide great services.
I come with over 25 years of experience as an assistant in Orthodontics, a treatment coordinator, and as a billing tech in a large corporate law firm. I earned my BSBM in 2010, have practiced traditional Taekwondo for over 20 years, and am currently ranked 5th Degree Black Belt with the Choong Sil Tkd Federation. I operated a small school for three years, but recently closed it in order to return to my Equestrian hobby of Hunter Jumper riding. I love working with our patients to give them an insightful and simplified dental experience.

I thought that I would be missing a front tooth for Xmas, but thanks to the talents of Dr. Schirmer, my smile looks amazing. I was welcomed into the office with a warm inviting lighting and beautiful smiles that made me feel right at home. On my first visit here I gave them my insurance card. They quoted the work to be done, TWICE. I had the work done and paid my bill. Anita told me "I was paid in full, unless they found out they could charge me more". An odd thing to say, but sure enough they charged me more based on my insurance. So their quote meant nothing. I called and wrote a letter to Dr Schirmer showing the documentation. Dr Schirmer has not responded. I would not recommend this practice.

I went to Dr. Schirmer for a dental implant. The offices are wonderful-they have these large TV screens with scenes of nature and lovely soft music so you are feeling less anxious. I was especially impressed with the "shot". Dr. Schirmer used a new shot which he says was invented by one of his friends in upstate NY. What was most unusual was it didn't hurt. Dr. Schirmer explained that it delivers the shot fluid more consistently so it isn't painful. You also get to see your X-rays right away on a bigger screen. Very high tech and high touch. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I have had the great fortune of having Dr. Schirmer as my dedicated dentist for many years now. Dr. Schirmer always makes his patients dental care/concerns top priority and is supported by his wonderful staff like Anita, Carole, Yasleen and Natalie. Besides the normal preventive cleanings, he has replaced old fillings and installed crowns. I trust Dr. Schirmer and his staff completely.

All I can say is: Wow! This was the best dentistry visit I have ever had. From Anita at rhe front desk to the dental assistant everyone was on time, efficient, patient oriented and happy. But Dr. Schirmer is unbelievable. Calm, efficient, friendly, professional, and, most important, extremely competent. He replaced a broken cap absolutely painlessly in 45 min. It was incredible. Easy to find on 41 south. Big parking lot, beautiful office. Very clean with exceptional COVID precautions and protection. You can go here and be safe.

I could not be more pleased with my experience. The staff were extremely cordial and accommodating, I was able to get an appointment promptly and the office is beautiful, immaculate with state of the art equiptment and Dr. Schirmer himself did my cleaning, explaining every step of the way. They have all been vaccinated and have an air filtration system. I highly recommend this practice!

Absolutely 5-star! His advice has been spot-on correct. I suffered from serious dental issues prior to finding Dr. Schirmer. He promptly diagnosed the problems and corrected the previous issues that were causing bite misalignment, sinus pain & pressure. The office is state-of-the-art.
