Dr. Schindel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in the Biological Basis of Behavior and a minor in psychology. She then attended dental school at New York University College of Dentistry, where she remained for an additional two years to complete the postgraduate program in orthodontics. While at NYU, Dr. Schindel was an orthodontic teaching fellow in the pediatric department, and coordinator of the NYU Cleft Lip and Palate Team. She currently serves as orthodontist for the Cleft Lip and Palate team of Sarasota.
Dr. Schindel is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Florida Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, which means she is board certified and has reached the highest level of professional achievement in clinical proficiency. In addition, Dr. Schindel continues to enrich her orthodontic knowledge through attending regular orthodontic conferences and meetings.
Dr. Schindel and her husband enjoy livingand working in Lakewood Ranch. When not running their son and daughterfrom one activity to the next, theyappreciate spending some downtime at the beach and taking family vacations.
Amy Riddle, Financial CoordinatorAmy first joined Schindel Orthodontics in 2006 as an orthodontic assistant. Today, she primarily handles account management and patient scheduling. Amy believes that seeing the difference orthodontics makes in a persons life is the best part of working with Dr. Schindel. She is a native of Manatee County and enjoys boating, fishing and being outdoors with her husband and daughters.
Rachael Frank, Orthodontic Assistant & Treatment CoordinatorRachael has been a part of Dr. Schindels team since 2007 and has worked in the orthodontic field since 1999. She loves building relationships with patients as they mature and gain increased confidence and self-esteem with a beautiful smile. Born and raised in Manatee County, Rachael enjoys spending time outside and in the water especially with her son.
Brittany Campana, Orthodontic Assistant & Treatment CoordinatorBrittanys experience as Dr. Schindels patient back in 2006 sparked her interest in dentistry. So, she went to school to become a dental assistant and joined the Schindel Orthodontics staff in 2013. Though Brittany began at the front desk, her true passion is working chairside with patients, directly involved in their orthodontic care and oral health. Outside of the office, Brittany enjoys spending time with her son and daughter.
Kimberlee Best, Orthodontic Assistant & Treatment CoordinatorA dental assistant since 2015, Kimberlee joined Dr. Schindels team in 2016 following a 20-year career in the health care field. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding at her farm and going to ice hockey games with her family.
Cathy Walsh, Orthodontic Assistant & Lab TechnicianA professional in the orthodontic field since 1981, Cathy joined Schindel Orthodontics in 2017. In addition to chairside assisting, she is also fully trained in the fabrication of orthodontic appliances and retainers. Cathy is the proud mom of one amazing son, gone too soon, with wonderful memories of the 21 years she got to spend with him. She enjoys spending time at the Disney parks and recently started singing karaoke.

This family practice is the BEST! From the moment you walk in, the ladies at the front desk greet you with smiles. Then the rest of the staff takes great care of your teeth while being friendly, pleasant, and professional. Dr. Schindel is so knowledgeable and sweet and takes time to speak to all her patients, no matter how busy she is. My whole family has used Schindel Orthodontics to improve our smiles, and we will continue to refer them to others in our community. :)

The most rudest staff I have ever been. I'm not gonna say anything bad but after spending thousands of dollars on my loved ones teeth you would think they would treat nicer at the front desk. Not sure if it's ever since the pandemic and they are all stressed but they are not helpful at all not friendly. They have such awful miserable attitude. I'm patient and I understand and see a lot of things but man service and friendliness ibas. I'll never ever recommend this place to anyone. They should work on being nicer to people.

We love Dr. Schindel and her staff. Our experience has been wonderful. Our oldest has completed her treatment successfully with a beautiful smile and we have two other children who are also being treated and have made tremendous progress so far.

Schindel Orthodontics is a great practice. We've had three patients go through braces successfully with Dr. Schindel, and it has been a very positive experience. The practice is well run and organized, Dr. Schindel is super smart, kind, and calm, and her crew is friendly and patient.

Unfortunately, two years later you would never know my two boys were patients. My youngest had an under bite which was corrected, but a year later his under bite is back despite full compliance with their instruction. Similar for my oldest who wore braces. They took them off and his teeth immediately began shifting back. He was told to wear retainers 24 hours a day to correct the issue - then why take the braces off (and why curtail the under bite treatment)? With regret, I must say that we wasted our time and money. Everyone on staff is very pleasant, but I don't think they did the right thing here. The outcomes for our boys fell far short of expectations and we're told to continue spending for what we thought we originally paid for.

Being at my new school, I asked around and almost everyone said they go to Dr. Schindel--so i told my Mom and she made an appointment. The office is beautiful and looks high tech. Dr. Schindel and her assistants are all great and make us feel at home. During my consult, Dr. Schindel took extra time to explain all of my options to me and my dad and I ultimately decided to get invisalign. I am only 6 months into treatment and already notice what a positive difference it has made in my smile....Thank you, Dr. Schindel!
