Dr. Mitchell D. Scheier, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School has been practicing dentistry for more than 30 years, most of which have been spent treating patients in Havertown, PA. With his warm and welcoming personality, its no surprise Dr. Scheier cares on an individual level about each and every one of his patients.
Throughout his 35 plus years running his own dental practice, Dr. Scheier has been trained extensively in various types of cosmetic dental procedures. These include esthetic smile design, Cosmetic Porcelain Veneers, Invisalign, full mouth crowns and bridge rehabilitation, as well as dental implant restorations. Dr. Scheier has also been licensed and extensively trained in Botox treatments for cosmetically smoothening facial creases and wrinkles. This often serves to complement the overall cosmetic dental results.
Dr. Preston Scheier completed his dental education at Temple Universitys Kornberg School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree (DMD). During his time at Temple he was a member of the student council. Prior to dental school, Dr. Preston graduated Magna Cum Laude from Towson University earning a degree in Biology.
After graduating Dr. Preston got to live out his dream of being able to work side by side with his father by joining the family practice. He specializes in multiple areas of general dentistry including implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and complete mouth rehabilitation cases. Dr. Preston strives to perform exceptional dentistry while providing the patient with a relaxed and gentle experience. He is also constantly furthering his education with the latest continuing education courses including hands on training and seminars.
Dr. Preston makes it a priority to help all of those in need of dental care even if they do not have access to it. He volunteered on a Dental mission trip to Jamaica and currently volunteers at Dr. Garces Community days in Philadelphia providing free dentistry to the Hispanic population. He also volunteers at a homeless shelter in Philadelphia and started a similar Community Day program in his office.
In his personal life Dr. Preston enjoys playing basketball and is an avid Eagles and Sixers fan. He also enjoys traveling, paintballing, and spending time with his beautiful wife Alyssa and dog Selina.
Dr. Price is passionate about life, family, food, traveling and of course, dentistry. Born and raised in southeastern Pennsylvania, she takes a lot of pride in the City of Brotherly Love. Prior to her dental training, she attended Saint Josephs University where she studied Pharmaceutical Marketing to earn her Bachelor of Science.
As an esteemed member of the dental community, she received her dental degree from the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in 2015. Graduating summa cum laude at the top of her class, Dr. Price was also the recipient of the Deans scholarship and achieved an invitation to the national honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Her active memberships include the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Price is a multiyear participant in Give Kids a Smile Day and the Special Olympics. Her promotion of dental health and goodwill extend near and as far as Jamaica, where she traveled with the 1000 Smiles program to provide dental care to underserved communities.
She is proficient in all phases of dentistry and is also a certified Invisalign provider. Additionally, she is a trained provider of Botox cosmetic treatments. It is her hope that every patient leaves our office feeling comfortable, confident, and well cared for. Providing a positive patient experience is her highest priority.
Our most popular team member is Selina, Dr. Prestons rescue dog. She has been with the office since she was 4 months old and now serves to entertain and relax patients before and after their treatment. Her calm demeanor is therapeutic for patients of all ages. She specializes in receiving belly and back scratches, sleeping in awkward positions, and giving out unconditional love. We always strive to respect any dog allergies or phobias so please feel free to inform us if you do not care for Selina to be present when you arrive.

I don't like to go to the dentist. My experience with Scheier Family was a very positive one. The Hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and the dentist was very nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back for my 6 month check up.

I needed a simple filling after a root canal and I had the most positive experience. Dr. Price is so gentle and has a very light touch. She is extremely pleasant and efficient. Her assistant is the best I've ever had work on my mouth. She anticipated everything Dr. Price would need and passed the instruments smoothly and efficiently. What a team!

I hate going to the dentist. Hate it. Almost phobic. When I moved down here I was driving to my old dentist-an hour each way. Someone recommended Scheier to me so I thought I would try. They are excellent. Dr Preston is very patient and kind and explains everything to you. He answers all your questions and is very approachable. I recently had an extraction that I had been putting off for years. Even that wasn't bad. The dental implant process, so far, has been smooth and not nearly as bad as I'd feared. Highly recommended.

Awesome dentists! Dr Price does fantastic work, she is very meticulous. Im a total pain and have a lot of dental issues and they always work to help me! Even today, one of my partial teeth wasn't quite right from the lab and Dr Price found a way to make it just perfect. The front desk is also really nice and accommodating. Great staff all around, defiently recommend!

I have been very happy with the services and I have been in here quite a bit and can honestly say that this is a wonderful team of professional staff. I highly recommend it! I love the convenience of it being right down the road but also whenever I have an issue with my teeth, they are prompt in getting right back to me.

Dr. Scheier, Dr. Preston and Dr. Price as well as their entire staff are all professional, experienced while being very caring and friendly. They were so gentle and reassuring. I'm a squeamish patient but they were great!! Update: Just went back again today and realized yet again why I love this place so much! Dr. Preston and the staff really went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Hands down the best dental practice I've visited.
