Raised in Shalimar, Florida, and attending Choctawhatchee High School, Dr. Kevin Schambeau completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. In 1995, he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama, School of Dentistry in Birmingham. Upon graduating, Dr. Schambeau was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He served one year at Bangor Submarine Base in Silverdale, Washington and three years at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina. Dr. Schambeau and his wife Stephanie Norris Schambeau, from Haleyville, AL, returned to Alabama in 1999, which allowed them to live closer to their family and friends and to pursue their dream of opening their own private practice.
Dr. Schambeau stays current with the profession he loves by being a regular attendee of local dental meetings and national conventions. He is always looking for ways to better serve his patients and make each patient's visit the best visit possible.
Kevin and Stephanie live in Hoover, AL and have three children, two dachshunds and two cats. They are active members of Hunter Street Baptist Church and have traveled to Ukraine as part of a Medical/Dental mission trip. Kevin's hobbies include golf, water & snow skiing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Dr. Schambeau and his team always provide an amazing experience. Everyone there are extremely polite and helpful. As a patient you are always informed about your treatment plan and what to expect going forward. I have found my forever general dentist!

Dr Kevin is the best dentist in Birmingham, was very professional explaining everything, repaired my chipped teeth in the front everything match perfect, I am very pleased. I will be back to have more work done. Rhonda is amazing she makes you feel like you're at home

Top notch service. Every interaction at all levels was positive. I needed a very deep cleaning and they took great care of me. I do not have dental insurance and they were upfront and accurate about the pricing. I very much recommend.

I would recommend Schambeau Dental Care to anyone who's looking for a good Dentist. They always do their best when trying to accommodate my available schedule or dental emergency. When you call there, if Ronda doesn't answer the phone, ask to speak with her. She is an excellent front desk employee and very knowledgeable of all the options that are available to you as a patient, from a billing perspective to a health care decision. Dr. Schambeau is very personable and makes me feel as if I'm his only patient when I get work done there.

The staff is so nice and patient. Very caring and helpful. I had to have some extensive work done and because of the pressure from it while Dr. Schambeau was performing, I had a tear to run down my face and his assistant wipe it away immediately. They both kept asking me was I ok (very caring and concerned). Ms. Rhonda (OMG), where do I began. I love her customer service on the phone as well as in person. She makes you feel so welcome. She will work with you according to your schedule. Her energy is indescribable (I love it). She is no stranger to no one. Yes, I would recommend Schambau Dental to my family and friends.

Going to the dentist has not always been one of my favorite visits to make. Since going to Schambeau I have a new found respect and a new love for going to the dentist. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Everybody from the front office manager (Ronda) to the hygienist (Brianna) to Dr. Schambeau is awesome. Brianna took great care of me and offered good instruction in maintaining the progress we've made in solving some of my dental concerns. She is a WELCOMED addition. Dr. Schambeau's wife is also a sweetheart with a welcoming spirit. I couldn't leave her out. This place ROCKS!!!

After having many dentists mess me up, I finally found a dentist that took his time with me to figure out my teeth issues. He is so patient and knows exactly what he is doing. He has state of the art equipment, and I love that I can get a crown in one day. The staff there is the best!! Rhonda and Stephanie and so very kind it makes you never want to leave. This office gives back to their community, and during the pandemic they helped doctors that were in bad need of gloves even though they had to shut down In reading some of these reviews it's so obvious some people you can never please, like most places. Craziness.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL PRACTICE!
