Dr. Sophia Scantlebury attended Columbia University where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She continued her education at the University of Florida Orthodontic Program, where she received her post-doctoral masters degree. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
Dr. Scantlebury is a published author, having an article published in the New York State Dental Journal. She also shares her knowledge of dental health by lecturing at churches and PTA meetings, as well as schools and health fairs. To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Scantlebury is a member of the New York State Dental Association, the Second District Dental Society of New York, and the American Dental Association.

My daughter is almost at the end of her treatment and it was an honor and pleasure that we did it with Dr Scantlebury. Dr Scantlebury always made sure that all procedures were properly explained before hand and made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. I would definitely recommend her.

Front desk/scheduling department has always been exceptional in providing a calm and welcoming environment. I do wish that through this lengthy process, I would have had time to regularly meet with the Orthodontist and her team. Outside of the initial meeting regarding the process my daughter was going to begin, there hasn't been a chance to speak directly. I'm sure my questions and/or concerns may have been routine, but nonetheless important to myself and my daughter.

Dr. Scantlebury was referred to us. She is extremely professional, organized and very experienced. She has fixed my son's underbite in under a year. Dr. Scantelbury is a warm and efficient orthodontist. Her office runs like a well-oiled machine and communicates clearly and efficiently. Every time that I take my child to his appointment the staff if very friendly, helpful and timely. If you have a 3pm appointment then most likely you'll be seen at that time.
